They can have an aide come in every day and help you with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and even cleaning up your place a bit. I read a study once that said aging men (such as yourself) have 25-50 percent more difficulty with memory problems and hygiene issues as they get into their late 70s/early 80s.
