That article is pretty hilarious. Granted it's not "wrong", but it's not right either. Kiwis are complete dicks to a lot of people, this is true. And despite how much I love talking to you all and browsing this forum, I also can't lie and pretend that everything that goes down here is exactly "good for the world". And the entire community (as well as many others) have indeed been absurdly invasive and destructive to Chris's life in a way I can't really justify either. And for sure, the author's also right that a lot of the people in the broader "troll community" (if you want to call it that) are indeed a bunch of insecure losers who are acting out their own bitterness. Most well adjusted adults don't spend their off time harassing people on the internet. That said, it's a stupid basis for an article. Everybody already knows that. Their only point in this is "trolls suck amirite?". Yeah, no shit captain obvious. Who the fuck publishes this?

Anyway, thing is the author left out is the part where dear old Chrissy is not exactly a shining example of innocent victimhood. I do feel bad for Chris in a lot of ways, but he's a complete asshole. More you come to "know" him, more you learn this. People have done truly cruel things to Chris, but as the saying goes he's his own biggest troll. He's a bitter, vindictive, obsessive, and all around creepy and selfish person. And he has no problem rubbing that fact in everybody's face when he gets the chance.

I've seen people wonder why nobody in the media has ever written about Chris before. After all, you could write a lot about his life and even say something fairly intelligent about the whole bizarre spectacle if you wanted. But the thing is it's impossible to do it without leaving out a lot of the story. Mainly the parts that make Chris look terrible. And sure enough, that article does just that. It mentions court appearances but glosses over why they happened (ya know, the whole "macing random employee over blarms" thing).
