Your religion really is the worst thing to powerlevel in a political discussion. Everything you say afterwards is going to be hit with unending adhoms, everyone trying to fit their claims into a potentially false map of your belief system, or worse, writing yours off as mechanical extensions of that map. How many edgy atheists do you know who are eager to point out the similarites between the account of creation in Genesis and Snowball Earth Theory, or the similarities between 2 Peter 3 and the acceleraing expansion of the universe, the big crunch and big bounce theories, or that correctly predicted the "retroactive digital bookburning wave" we are now entering, and have homebrew theories about God's omnisience being more akin to laplace's demon than the traditional interprepation of God being a mind reader, through which those very same theories help smooth over "contradictions" in the bible like God testing Abraham or the day of reckoning not even being known by Jesus Christ himself, that even much beloved theologians like John Piper dare not even address? I'd be doing myself a disservice to be anything close to an edgy atheist while making such rational claims about scripture and science that is purportedly at odds with the same.
