There is a difference lad between a trap, a obvious joke character, and one that barely has any identifying features. It didn't help that the trailer was mostly silent, the main tell of any trap.

He finally did mentioned he done TDKR as a Batman Elseworlds-ish story a few years ago. And was annoyed at how the everyone in the comic business and the comic buyers basically canonized it as a proper Batman Earth-01 story.

Never had seen this but really liked it. One of the parts that people always forget in Dark Knight is that supes let bats get the first 5 hits in for free and when supes started getting serious, he stopped when he noticed the heart attack. A more brutal supes like in the clip would have ended it in the fist blow. It's what makes superman compelling, he could crush every world goverment and kill every single other hero in a week and name himself absolute overlord, yet it never even is a consideration for him.

I think Injustice was inspired more by the episode of Superman The Animated Series titled Brave New Metropolis wherein an alternate universe version of Superman becomes an uncaring dictator specifically because Lois Lane is killed in a car bombing. He even forced Lex Luthor to work for him. Granted the rest of the Justice League and Batman don't really get brought up.
If my memory serves me correct, he was even created by 2 Jews.
