Music Wrap Ups 2024

It's that time of the year Kiwisisters. Multiple music services are starting their wrap ups, I'll start this thread with my Spotify wrap-up:


Apparently I played the New Radicals song 15 times, I do not know how though.

I had 103,718 listening minutes this year, with 10,232 songs.
If my calculations are correct that equals out to roughly 72 straight days of music, or ~1/5th of the entire year listening to spotify. My longest day was 976 minutes.

#1 song was 94 Hours by As I Lay Dying, since that's usually where I start my main metal playlist. The song has a very satisfying breakdown at the end.

However top artist of the year overall was Buckethead, so I'm ok with that...unlike last year, when somehow it was Jessica Curry. Like the videogame soundtrack lady (probably because my one playlist starts with The New Century from Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs).

I'm not going to post any screenshots though, because wrapped is only on the mobile app and I don't like dealing with images on mobile.

This wrapped sucked. Not much insight. My music taste also sucks.

My music taste is probably the least represented this year out of all of them, especially top songs. I do listen to a broad spectrum of music though.

With AI turning the world upside down and making mind-boggling strides by the month, I gotta say that Spotify's playlist AI is mentally retarded and can't follow even the most basic instructions.
