So I have been playing a lot of an old RTS lately called Machines: Wired For War, and while the soundtrack is very good, I have been looking for other types of music that fit very well with the theme of robots and machines.

Post your recommendations, and any genre will do, preferably instrumental. I will start...

"International Space Station" by Komputer.

Autechre's Tri Repetae would be my suggestion

Depending on which way you want to go from Autechre, I'd point at Matmos and Merzbow.
Merzbow reminds me a lot of the stuff that you used to be able to find on the old Autoplate/Thinnerism label, which was an independent online recording label from the early-2000's that specialized in instrumental, experimental electronic noise/mechanical music. You could listen to and download all of it for free.

Luckily, there is now an Internet Archive website for all of the artists and stuff that was on it.

Anyway, music tax...this one is also very robotic and mechanical sounding and it was made using the sounds of various mechanical and electronic devices. My favorites are "Midnatt" and "5-00".
