The Visit is actually a pretty decent movie, imho. The rap shit is awkward, but it's good at establishing characterisation for the kids and others around them. And there a few decent wtf scenes that are very effective.

I might not be able to make this one, sorry, but I do recommend the Visit.

I had to pay real, actual money for it too so that we could get a version that's streamable without infecting any computers with the sort of viruses you normally get by downloading from sketchy stream sites.

Like, I have a DVD and everything. It's a first for movie night.
 
I'll say The Visit wasn't a bad movie at all considering how the rest of the modern horror film lot goes. You see the patented M. Night twist coming a mile away though. And by mile I mean right in the first 5 minutes of the movie.
 
I'll probably swing by for the Incredible Bulk, but probably gonna pass on the Medea. Somehow Tyler Perry is more off-putting to me than an horribly done CGI abortion. Then again, last week we watched two Neil Breen films and the numbness hasn't subsided; maybe I can put up with Perry.

Also, I want to nominate last week's substitute video, Hawkeye, to become a movie night staple:

Shitty Spike Lee movies and The Thing with Two Heads.

Plot summary of the second film, "A rich but racist man is dying and hatches an elaborate scheme for transplanting his head onto another man's body. His health deteriorates rapidly, and doctors are forced to transplant his head onto the only available candidate: a black man from death row."
 
Not Signs, that movie becomes tolerable, if you realize that the secret twist is, that the aliens are actually demons.
No seriously, it makes a lot more sense that way.
 
So I was thinking of making it a pun night. I have both airplane movies and the 3 naked gun films. Don't know if people would be interested.
