Though that also begs a question- If Avatar's considered anime. Where does that put 80s cartoons? Several of them (Like DiC's output in particular, Or TMS's co-productions like Bionic Six or Mighty Orbots) were often co-produced by the Japanese studios as much as they were their western creators.

The problem with leading with a rape scene in your show is that it becomes difficult to escalate after that unless you're willing to go full Titus Andronicus.

But, yeah it's more or less your standard anime which is a shame because I actually quite like the design of the Goblin Slayers' armor (although I'm almost certain I've seen something very similar to it in Etrian Odyssey Untold 2) but the animation is lazy and the characters aren't really interesting enough to warrant the time investment.

Which is why I find it weird that instead of saying anything like that, these youtube animoo reviewers decided to clutch pearls. Hell, one of them even said it was a white supremacist show because the goblins are meant to represent blacks which to me says a lot more about the person making that statement than the creator of the show.

I'm actually working on something related to Anitube, so I may put together a write up at some point for the farms, if I have the time. The main issue would be trimming the content down . There are just too many examples of insanity in the community (from the very lowest amateur reviewers who can barely string together a cogent sentence, to those at the top like Geoff who actively promote cuckoldry).
