Sped on down to the shore before the morning holiday traffic to do a run. Managed maybe 5 minutes on sand before I realized it's an awful idea, but that's 5 minutes stronger than I would've been if I didn't.
Then continued another 7.8 miles on the road. Wanted to see the sun rise over the beach, but not the day for it. Still, beautiful day for a run. Been struggling with my gate causing knee pain after doing like 2 weeks of 8 miles 3x a week. Seems to have coincided with it getting hotter, but I think it comes down to I'm shortening my gate up too much when I slow down. It's not ITB pain like a while ago, and it's in the opposite leg from where I had that, under the knee on the outside edge.
Get out there and get moving guys! Don't make excuses like I've been.
The water is also pretty rough today and I think tide was low. I was told you want to run on the firm sand right at the water line, but the way the waves were coming in had me a bit nervous. Originally ran on the soft sand, then ran at the top of the hill before it dropped down. Was a bit firmer there but kept giving away because it's a fucking cliff lol.
Was cool for a while. Was kinda hoping all the puddles I ran through would wash out all the sand but nope. My front porch is now beach front property.
