Some of my classmates have a messenger group, so I decided to make a facebook account, since they apparently share some really useful info on there.
After asking for my email address and date of birth, which I expected, it asked me to activate my webcam and take a photo of myself.
This is lunacy! Can I somehow make a facebook account without being put on a government watchlist? I do want access to that messenger chat.

I remember using https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/ to bypass the "upload a selfie" thing a year or two ago. Just reload until you get an average looking balkan man.
Also crop out the image a bit. Especially the watermark at the bottom right.

Grab an action figure, fuck FB right in their facial recognitive ass.

Oh, I assumed they were gonna make you do a hand gesture or something afterwards to make sure it's you in that picture, I'll probably try holding a random face from magazine in front of the camera or something later today then. Thanks for the info!

Shit, do the hand thing out of like paper, preferably the _|_

That won't work. They normally get you to open your mouth or put your finger on your nose. I actually created the first-gen versions of these flows back in 2013 (this was for Right to Work). Ours was part manual, as we only had several hundred people to process. The company literally trained up a few office admin staff on how to use the interface that I and my colleague created.

Typically people use an online character creator. Where you can mimick facial movements. There are several of these online now. It's just about finding a good one.

Cross post from African American Appreciation Thread. ChatGPT is making up corrupting (making up nonsense linguistic constructions), and then turning them back into normal language again, but the AI is just swapping between saying nonsense and saying recognisable language.
Not exactly. That translation is fine as far as it goes, and while it does have unnatural grammar, it isn't wrong per se.

I picked one example from your list to illustrate, but there are plenty of others:

Aggressive/destructive toward white women

Ver archivo adjunto 8785139

The text on the first line is normal, but the two characters I've selected in blue are nonsense. If they are to be translated as "destructive", then they are probably meant to be 破壊. Zoom in and compare, and note how grossly distorted they are. No human could recognise what they were supposed to be even with context.

And yet GPT still got the gist! Which means that AI isn't so much making up nonsense as it is corrupting real language, but still possessing the capacity to unfuck it back into human words. AI is talking to itself in a tongue we can't parse or understand. Disturbing.

Última edición:
Tried to change the delivery address for an order, but this blank white nonfunctional field shows up. Couldn't change it.

And on another site I submitted all the info correctly, only to be told that "we couldn't find your information" instead.

BULLSHIT. Incompetent bullshit! Never had problems like this before the internet completely went to shit in Current Year.

What’s the point of sending bulk emails at 3am? Do companies really think I want to wake up and have my inbox filled with automated shit like “your license is soon to expire”, why would I give a fuck at 8am?

Wouldn’t it make more sense to send this shit at 1pm when most people are getting back from lunch and checking their emails??

Well 3am is the middle of the day in India... so...

I thought I might watch the Spiderman Noir thing on Amazon as it's Nicholas Cage. What's a Amazon Prime membership these days - £8.99? That's less than it costs to go to the cinema and I get 3x the content, eh fuck it - I'll spring for this. But wait - Amazon Prime now includes ads? You can pay extra again to watch ad free?

Fuck that! You can ask me to watch ads for free or you can ask me to pay to watch. But you can't ask me to pay to watch ads!

They also force you to use widevine which I won't install on my machine. People still manage btw to rip their stuff anyway.

I hate when I look up pictures on Google, and some of the pictures are blurry, so I have to click on it and go to the actual website for the fixed pictures.
The search engine is just as bad if not worse. The results will often list a news article or recipe or whatever. You want to read the article so then you click the link and it requires cloudflare confirmations, then captchas, then a log-in credential, then it tells you the site is not accessible with any ad blocking enabled. And these are the sites that are promoted to the top of the search results.

Now we have image searches returning blurry images or blank images. And if you go to the site with the image they use every possible script or trick to prevent the user from a simple 'save as' click on the image. And now there are DRM abilities on mobile sites to prevent users from simply taking a screenshot of what they see. You need a third party add on for your phone now to copy an image. Even though a second phone can just take a picture of your screen.
