I do agree except for last year's pagent where no one was attractive but they kept the bikini contest as a way to compete with miss world.

Miss World and Miss Universe are two different competing beauty pagents. All I know is that Miss World stopped their bikini contest about two years ago.

EDIT: Unless you mean they just banned bikinis literally. In which case it's a win!

Between this and @MrJokerRager posting about the beauties playing volleyball, this is actually a very informative and interesting thread. The early to mid-2000’s were the peak of swimsuit models and Miss Universe pageants (early 80’s to mid 90’s come a close second for me).

Though, just like Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine models, everything would later get toned down and the lack of creativity with the elegance started to show in the latter half of the 2010’s. It might have a lot due to politics as well, but I think a couple of decades ago, it did hits its peak.
