At the risk of sounding like , I would like to remark that it's perfectly normal for humans to be (subconsciously) attracted to traits present in their own parents. Any psychologist will tell you that it lies in the human nature to find those traits desirable that were present in the primary role models you grew up with. So I don't see anything particularly Oedipal in the revelations here.

Of course, it's still really of Chris to explicitly mention Barb in this context, not to mention their spooning and everything else...

It's reasonable to be subconsciously attracted to traits your parents has. Where it becomes weird is when you explicitly tell people that...when you've just met them.

Might be the fact that thus far The Tudors is the only show where you can see Natalie Dormer nude. Not even Game of Thrones has that shit.

This is gross. Yeah, my mother was a bookworm, too. She also loved to lay around all day reading, making herself ill, and doing nothing to help herself. I find this so UNattractive that it has ruined the process of sitting down to read a good book for me. I just about get a panic reaction if I try it for too long, thinking I'll end up just like she did. How Chris could find what has sounded like a pretty similar situation with that land whale attractive, I'll never understand.

I don't see any real evidence Bob cared for the UN one way or another. There's a tendency for people to portray him as some sort of sophisticated, worldly intellectual, especially after his death, but collecting records and having served in Korea doesn't necessarily make him a scholar of international politics. I could honestly see this one going either way.

Nah, Bob definitely seemed to believe in autism, though he might not have understood it entirely. Having your own son diagnosed with autism would be enough to make you believe in it. But someone in Bob's age bracket might very well have seen autism as another label for an idiot manchild. Granted, in Chris' case that's not far from the mark, so it may very well have impacted his interpretations of autism.

I gotta feel sorry for Bob. You can just imagine how Chris' atismu must have strained their relationship. I mean, the age difference alone would have been bad enough, but in Chris' case he's operating on a whole other world entirely. Just look at how uncomfortable Bob is in the recently dumped Christmas video. Look at how confused and dare I say disappointed he is as he reads his son's letter about Santa delivering a boyfriend free girl for Chris. It speaks volumes to his character that he put up with all of that. Can't help but think Chris would have been better off if Mr. C was still around

Of the three of them, Bob is the only Chandler I really sympathize with. Despite his own issues, he always seemed to have Chris's best interests at heart and even, when he checked out, he had basically assured the future survival of Blarb and Chris as best he could. A mere couple years later, and these two idiots have absolutely squandered it, nearly burned down the house he left them and wasted all the resources, leaving them with a half-burned barbage-filled disaster area of a home.

But yeah, as an aside, I've never actually met anyone who's been all "Yeah, UN!" like Bob was. Even the Model United Nations kids in high school didn't really care that much about the concept of the organization, nor do the people I've known who work for the UN.
