I liked the first 3 Despicable Me movies more than I thought I would

I liked how weirdly wholesome and nuclear family friendly the series went on the whole. I remember the articles that came out bitching after DM2 dared to insinuate that little girls might also like to have a mom as well as a dad. The Minions movies up until now have been absolutely forgettable, though, and DM4 was schizophrenic garbage.
