Something I noticed with MindsEye's vehicles: if you brake in high speeds, it almost sounds like a yawning cheetah or growling puma. There's more cutscenes than gameplay.

I just 100%'d MindsEye. How is it? Well, to put it bluntly, it's a generic third person shooter at best.

Positives: Alex Hernandez's work as Jacob Diaz was great given the material. He gave it his all. I won't hold the shoddy, cringe writing against HIM or the rest of the cast. Redrock was an okay rendition of Las Vegas, even comes with the famous massive dome. It's an easy 100% completion if you're an achievement/trophy hunter.

Negatives: they patched most of the bugs from launch. So, I couldn't even laugh at how broken it could be. The puzzles featured in the game are simple up until the last puzzle at the ziggurat. Tedious and pace breaking.

The story made no sense, something you would see in a bargain bin DVD. Sometimes, the game would softlock where you'd have to relaunch the game to progress or have it start you over from the beginning. The length is 10-12 hours long, but the majority of that time is just from cutscenes or filler missions.

Oh, and the Blacklisted DLC mission? You can kill as many civilians as you please unlike the base game. It'll just berate you, but you won't fail. I didn't even get to see the half assed free roam. It booted me back to the launcher.

No replay value, no multiplayer, no player freedom. Only buy it if you like earning achievements/trophies and you're able to return/refund it.

I've returned it to Amazon for the supplier. They're not giving me a full refund because of "damage fees." Everything was exactly as I sent it. There was a redemption code included but I did not redeem it. I will definitely find time to dispute it or figure out why.

Poor dude keeps getting fucked over with these roles.
This and Mafia 3.
Well, Mafia III had higher production values and a great story. But, as a game, it had a weak foundation.

Which reminds me, you have more freedom in Mafia 1 or GTA III compared to MindsEye. There's no melee combat. There's no side content (unless you count those rifts scattered around the map, even so there's no reward.) There isn't even a mini map in the pause screen!
