Not having a melee or jump button is fucking nuts. Even Cyberpunk had that shit and that game is most well known for half the map failing to render as you load in.

Relaunched? Is this just going to be the thing now? Let the game bomb after ten years of development then try to remake it a year later like Cyberpunk? At least that has a decent game buried in the muck somewhere. This? You can't even steal cars, dude.

At least Cyberpunk had a good foundation that Phantom Liberty built on. I'm struggling to think of anything in Mindseye that's worth keeping or expanding on.

The cutescenes look nice when they're not glitching out or character models fail to load in I guess?

That's really the nicest thing I can say about it.

Pretty sure that's just Leslie Benzies talking out their ass trying to get more investment money. It's not going to happen. They've already had to issue their mandated warning about an impending mass laying off of what is it 100+ staff when it's a 300 person company? You don't lay off 1/3 of more of your employees if you're actually going to somehow re-work your entire game to try and have a redemption arc like cyberpunk.

I already said it in this thread a couple days before this talk of relaunch bullshit happened, but the only reason why CDPR got away with it for cyberpunk is because they had other revenue streams(GoG and other games) to make up for the failed launch(with plans to continue developing DLC anyway), BARB doesn't.

The "engoodening of No Man's Sky" only happened because the genre hadn't existed on console in any form worth a shit in 13 years(and certainly not multiplayer) so even with all of the blatant lies about the game the guy running Hello Games had sucked enough cock at Sony to get them to be willing to continue with it due to it being shit but the console fans still slurping it up. MIndseye doesn't have that unique dead genre revival type of gameplay, nor did it have the backing of a major console manufacturer or other publisher behind them in the first place, allowing them to spend years putting shit in the game that should have been there from the start(and some of which still isn't last I looked).

Angry Joe's review on MindsEye. It's an hour long. Padding, glitches, strict linear mission design, bad AI, poor writing. I bet Mafia III has more freedom than this.

It’s such a shame.
It makes me afraid that nobody will try a Cyberpunk-ish 3rd Person Open World shooter ever again because they won’t want to be called “The next Mindseye.”

It’s why hardly anyone makes Western games because they don’t want to be (unfairly) compared to the Red Dead Redemption duology.

It's actually only not Tesla HQ and the surrounding grounds where killing civs causes a game over. Outside that you can mow down as many ugly dysgenic npcs as you want.

This is possibly a glitch.
 
This game had to be a money laundering operation. All those off shore studios had to be part of it.

The plot seems like early Assassin's Creed ancient aliens meets cyberpunk on acid.

He never stopped. Can still easily get 100k or more views a video, expanded to tabletop games, streams on twitch with some paid subs there in addition to his patreon, made and published the street fighter tabletop game so he actually had to work with people in the game industry to get the rights to do it, live streams all kinds of stuff. He's certainly not "big"(well, he's gotten fatter) but seems to be doing well enough compared to most of the other channel awesome idiots.

And they also taut the upcoming addition of skipping cutscenes feature, while most games usually have the option to do so from release.

I do also wonder when Leslie Benzies will blame Blue Archive and Uma Musume for being the "external saboteurs" that caused MindsEye's failure.

Either that DLC was broken beyond repair or IO Interactive is reconsidering their licensing deal after MindsEye's broken launch.
