Install a distribution with KDE + LibreOffice.

If desired, tweak KDE to the globohomo aesthetic with the retarded center-justified taskbar/panel layout.

Icons and colors are available. There's also various optimization which makes games run better than even on Windows.

There is simply no excuse.

I fucking hate linux, but I'll be jumping on once 10 dies.

Not saying 2007 and prior didn't; but the rate current MS products call home keeps me away from them. Doesn't help that everything after 2016 has become a 365 annual license.
There is a full offline version of office 2019.
Office 2007 and 2010 are still getting updates, untampered volume license ISO can be found on any tracker and activated with KMS. For now I just don't see any reason to use bloated >2013 versions when older ones open same documents just fine.
Office 2010 was dropped two years ago:

My general impression is that if it's not sufficient for some reason, you'd know it. Power users and people dealing with autistic systems that accept only genuine Microsoft (R) Office (TM) files find that there's no substitute for the real thing. But I'm not one of them.
Only reason I keep Windows around is because I need specific versions of Excel sometimes to create and submit files because whatever system Pajeet built out of matchsticks will explode otherwise.

There are a surprising amount of businesses in this position. If MS ported Office to Linux there would be a whole fucking lot of people switching.

2016 was originally going to be the last version with perpetual licenses, but MS apparently caved to angry businesses and continued to offer them for 2019. If you ever plan on needing authentic, licensed Microsoft Office, now is probably a good time to lock in a purchase.

Obtain evaluation License of Windows, runs out after six months but you too can use this simple & easy trick! Open the search bar & type "cmd" right click it & run as administrator, now in the command line (this is the super secret part microsoft don't want you to know about, they will send bitcoin assassins to your house if you disclose this, I am taking a large risk even typing this) type: slmgr.vbs /rearm , this will allow you to run Windows fully activated without a stupid KMS activator for basically ever!

I miss the old Microsoft HUP. 'Twas able to snag a legit Office Professional 2016 license for 15 dollarydoos and I'm still using it today. I haven't checked the HUP since I bought that license in 2016, but I suspect it's probably now Office 365 for 15 dollarydoos per annum or some gay shit like that.

As for OpenOffice, LibreOffice and all the other off-brand office packages... they're great if you like Office 97 sans Clippy.

FYI 2019 is now old and the latest VL/perpetual version is Office 2021 LTSC. I recommend 2021 if you use Outlook as they've backported the dark mode for e-mails from 365.
