Microsoft hate thread - I just want to rant about Microsoft

A few people on here will know me as a strong Windows user. I've provided people here handy Powershell scripts and I'm generally a power user. Sadly I think I'm going back to Linux. I nearly did at the end of last year but stuck it out a little longer. But it's getting less and less viable to keep this computer as MY computer.

If you are running any modern version of Windows (after XP), macOS, Chrome OS, Android or iOS, they own it.

Only ancient operating systems, GrapheneOS (and similar alternative ROMs), Linux, BSD and the Solaris forks are where you own the hardware.
