ok heres what probably happened
-ukraine rebels see a transport plane similiar to the jet and shoot the jet by accident
-shit pants upon realization and deny anything
-becomes apparent that both sides have the same weaponry and the Buk missile system was stolen by the rebels
-a new truce since the federal states of novorossiya and ukraine realize they can't keep this shit up

tl;dr ww3 isn't happening rebels fucked up and shoot the wrong plane

One thing is for sure, Malaysian Airlines is going to go bankrupt.
I, for one, wouldn't be surprised if they're the next PanAm.
I wonder who shot it down. There are conflicting reports from the Ukrainians and the Russians.
At this point there's no real proof it was shot down, just a lot of accusations from people with political agendas and sensationalist rumourmongering from an irresponsible media. We have to remember this is an airline that managed to lose into thin air a whole airplane with all on board over the ocean just a few months ago. They don't exactly have the best track record lately for keeping their birds in the air.

God that sounds so complicated to combat.
it is especially when your enemy has the exact same weaponry as you.

an example would be the BM-21 "Grads" and T-64s found in use by the rebels in early june. could they be from russia? possibly. but a more logical assumption is that both countries have literally close to the exact same tanks and artillery in storage and the rebels probably took them from some rusting army warehouse.

All I can say is thank fuck Ukraine gave up its nukes a few years back.

Russia actually has a very loose control of it's nuclear arsenal. It isn't exactly uncommon for American warheads to turn up missing either. After the dissolution of communism in fact, arsenals were almost basically up grabs in the Eastern states. You have to figure they're still floating around somewhere around there.

You know we are so hidden from the world at times. The world has always been crazy. All I can think is those poor innocent people on that plane that had nothing to do with this.

Whats the most sick thing about this is a guy about to board the plane jokes about the plane disappearing as he was waiting, how right he was...
