So, apparently the devs said the game aint gonna have any Ukraine dubbing. Reason for that is "The STALKER devs made a mistake having everyone talk in Ukranian, thus allowing the Moskali to kill our boys gleefully. Well, we wont repeate that mistake", so with that logic we are killing English speaking Nazis in Russia. Sooo...guys I think we're murdering MAGA guys this time around.
That's like setting a game in the Holy Roman Empire and not including any Yiddish speakers because some gamers might be mean to them.

Actually managed to beat the Tower for real this time... on easy mode, at least. I tried going Hardcore, but the highest I could manage was the first level on Normal. Can't imagine how cracked you gotta be to beat the rest on the harder difficulties. Second level is the single worst one and there's hardly a contest here. Fucking managed to die to one of the explosive barrels (near the end, too), making those things worse than useless. Nevermind those damned winged nosalises. Rest of the level wasn't so bad... had to retry level 3 multiple times but between the size, the valve being added to your arsenal, and the human companions it's not so bad. Really, the big problem (to me) is that to be successful you have to play in a way that's kind of antithetical to how the rest of the game presents itself, and there's no real precedence for it.

So that rounds out the DLC for Last Light. I would say the developer level and Anna's level are worse—not as interesting and frustrating in their own way. Pavel's level was really interesting in how intense the stealth was. The best part was the firing room where you had to time your shots so they'd be muffled by the gunfire, or else the whole room goes into alert, and how a guy standing in front of a light is your only window to cross the room undetected. I liked that. The rest was a little tedious, and I couldn't get through the last room but by then I had scrounged enough ammo to kill everyone anyway.

Kshatriya was a bop, though. I remember when Exodus was first announced I had hoped it would have played out much like this level... and instead we got Far Cry: Metro. You know, sometimes I wonder if "open world" is a crutch used by modern developers to avoid proper level design. joke, or not. Revisiting it now, I see this is just a long linear level with an occasional long corridor leading back to the main hub area. There's no real reason to return to certain areas of the map you've already cleared out unless you wanna encounter certain enemies again, and that's a damn shame.

So that just leaves the main game shadow ranger / gunslinger / whatever else playthrough to be done. Already tried it once, but I guess I killed too many people on the Chase level or something like that, got the achievement for killing everyone on that level and it wasn't even that hard. Maybe if you only take out the rail car gunners and avoid the drivers you'll be fine, who knows.
