(gamedata/assets/kms/us, specifically wXX-with the XX being the number designation for a specific level in the campaign, and wsXX- is specifically for the VR weapon levels. The naming system is all over the place sometimes)
(there's a bunch of other stuff ofc, but it's all separated into separate models)

I continue to hope that the source codes for the PS2-era Silent Hill games will be leaked someday. There have been instances where previously lost source codes were recovered and leaked. I would particularly appreciate an official remaster of Silent Hill 4, which was released on PC.

While the first three are incredible games (especially 2 for personal reasons), 4 for some reason really stuck with me, maybe its being stuck in a decaying apartment, i dunno.

I dunno, the whole theme of AI being developed to control the flow of information and the idea of the Internet age creating so much information that it's all diluted and effectively useless is a pretty groundbreaking idea for 2002, and not one I've seen in any other piece of fiction (though I could just be ignorant on that).

The other entries are certainly way more derivative, especially MGS3 but it was so good at it that it didn't matter, it was still brilliant. MGS1 had the benefit of being a technological showcase more than anything, games didn't look like that before MGS1.

MGS2 is unironically the most creative entry (Also the most batshit)

MGS-1 was amazing when it came out. There was nothing like it at the time. It was a big leap forward compared to previous PS1 games. The Twin Snakes I didn't like at all, Snake had turned from a covert operative to essentially a superhero. While there were fantastical/supernatural parts in the PS1 game it kept it within the realms of a possible near future reality.

The whole AI codec calls in MGS-2 towards the end were very odd to hear about 25 years ago. Nobody knew what a "meme" except some smelly philosophy student at University, and the codec calls were fucking with your head. I remember it was 4am in the morning and the game was telling me to go to bed. I played it more recently (I got the PS3 HD version cheap from a local game shop) and it had aged pretty well. Story stands up very well.

MGS-3 until "The End" boss battle is perfect. It gives you a stealth sandbox, and you can approach the areas just about how you like. After "The End" it turns into poor rendition of a Bond movie, and it felt like it overstayed its welcome.

While I've seen comments on here saying "he didn't do anything original" while that is true, it is much like the 1st Matrix Movie. Many of the concepts and plot points are taken from other material, but it is how it was packaged together that made it stand out.

It takes the original and puts it into the MGS2 Engine so you get first person mode, and the story gets John Woo'd/Animesloped and alot of people hated it. I found it to be really fun in a campy way.

Noesis with the mgs2 plugin. .tri files don't seem to work on my end or my download is corrupted... But the model viewer works fine enough, if a bit slow to load.

Anyway, some guy just dumped a bunch of info in the /vr/ thread if anyone wants to look.

TLDR the Arsenal crash movie is still missing but there is an upskirt and sexual harrassment codec mechanic, and a Wii port is possible.
