The Vietnam War Foundation Museum in Ruckersville is having a small event this weekend for Memorial Day. If you thought about buying Fatty Legos, please consider donating that money instead to something that is far more worthy.

Yeah this thread is a nice thought, but it actually could've been posted in Off-Topic or in the random thought thread.
 
Huh, Memorial Day, huh? The official start of summertime.

Thats when there are like 95% more Americans here and I get flustered by all the American girls around me, who secretly beg for me to start talking to them because IRL I'm actually hot shit.

But things could be different this time, I ain't spent the last 9 months in the gym for nothing :tomgirl:
 
This is actually pretty cool. I didn't know they had a Vietnam War museum in Ruckersville. Too bad Chris will take no interest.

Then again, considering I've never been to the NFL Hall of Fame or the First Ladies' Museum (both being just a half an hour drive from me), I shouldn't talk :oops:
 
As many of you know my Dad was a Vietnam Veteran, so I totally support giving donations to Veteran programs.

Anyone doing any traveling or have some other fun activities lined up for the weekend?

The Dude family will be taking a little camping trip Sunday when I get off work. We haven't been camping in a while and we have a brand new spring-bar tent to break in. We're also going to do a little target shooting while we're there. It will be Little Dude's first time shooting.

On Memorial Day my thoughts and prayers are with those of us who are veterans themselves. I think of their struggle. Their many hardships. I think of their PTSD and how each and every day is another battle for them in a war that never ends.

On Memorial Day... I think of Jace. :jace:

The veterans themselves do come back with their own scars, be it a physical scar or a psychological scar. As for Jace, I wonder what he'd have to say about Memorial Day.

I'll probably have to work memorial day and that weekend as usual. I have a feeling it's going to be busy that weekend since everyone is coming into town. Usually Memorial Day is the start of tourist season in my town with July being at it's peak.
 
On memorial day my grandpa will be marching in his local veteran's parade. I'll go see him and help baby sit my grandmother who has very advanced Alzheimers. The gunfire scares her, so I'll probably take her home before the awards ceremony.
