I'm very likely to shelf my sig MCX 5.56 and go back to an AR15. After the barrel retaining clamp failed ( its literally just Indian cast you can see it in the grain texture) I can't trust it with my life.

I was able to score the hoftman trigger kicker, im going to see if it will work with a LIMA 6. Figured id give it a try since the lima 6 is kinda frt picky.

It's still a nice shooter suppressed and not suppressed and a few LEO departments issue it but man lol like if i where put into some fall of Yugoslavia teir larp where I had no tools and no replacement parts ( Sig did send me a new barrel clamp after i mistakenly bought one without filing a warranty claim so now i have 2 barrel clamps) and the clamp failed on me again I would not have a rifle. The shitty m4rgery PSA i have still works after over a decade of mag dumps with the nastiest tula and frontier ammo and it still works while shooting 1-3 MOA. 1k rounds in to the MCX and the barrel clamp failed doesn't give me the confidence to main it as a SHTF rifle which sucks because i really love the gun.

TLDR -> Want a piston driven folding stock gun? DON'T BUY AN MCX, buy a BREN 2

Good news, everyone! The indoor range 5 minutes from my house does allow shotgun after all, I just happened to get some guy who was being a dick about it. Buckshot or slugs only, but whatever.

I shot my new 1301. Is nice. Recoil is a little more than expected for a semi-auto, but the gun is pretty dang light for what it is. Will probably throw a Limbsaver Airtech on there and call it good.
