I know it's not affected by the issue, but I still regret my P365 purchase. While the modularity is a cool part of it, I've honestly just preferred using my glock 26, even if it's a bigger gun for cc.

A "pocket gun" in anything larger (I'm looking at you, LCP) are usually hard to shoot pieces of shit with spotty reliability. At least a .25 doesn't punish you for shooting it (if you have to).

Airweight revolvers suck dick too, but at least you get a real round for that form factor, so it kinda evens out.

All pocket guns are terrible to shoot and drawing from a pocket is pretty terrible as well.
 
I feel bad about all the times I bitched about the M9 while I was in. Sure it was bulky, and it constantly got in the way if you had to carry it, but I never feared it or even had the thought that it would just go off without me pulling the trigger. The Air Force has you carry safety off and a round in the chamber. No concern carrying like that with the M9, no concern carrying like that with any of my current handguns, not a chance in Hell I'd carry the M18 like that.

The Jewish CEO of SIG, who previously ran another gun company, Kimber, into the ground, is back to his old tricks of outsourcing production of various parts and not giving a fuck about quality control. The SIG P320, adopted in US military service as the M17 and M18, has a design which requires tight tolerances. Said tolerances ended up being not tight thanks to Indian QC and the guns literally just go off when lightly jostled, such as being placed down or put in a holster, without the trigger being pulled. We are now in the middle of a giant clusterfuck, it's never been more over for Siggers.

No, they’re switching to carrying the M4 carbine as a stopgap I think. Kinda weird to switch to an assault rifle for a duty previously fulfilled by pistols but I guess they’re there until they can switch to Glock or something.

I’ve heard somewhere that they’re going back to M4s for now, but I can’t find the source on that.
I imagine it’d be due to M9s being retired and/or gotten rid of.
I’m hoping they go back the M9A3 platform, or preferable, something like the Glock 19x.

I decided to get another TAB Pinnacle Sling to use for my Vector and my AUG A3. Got a Viking Tactics low profile QD sling mount that mounts to the 12 o'clock rail. Sure, it's a bit overbuilt for a small, lightweight PCC like the Vector, but the TAB sling is the best sling I've ever used. I've got three of them now: one black that I swap between my MWS308 and Origin 12, one OD green one for my Mk14 Mod0 clone that's on those Blue Force Gear wire loops, and the new OD green one to swap between the Vector and the AUG on MagPul QD swivels. I find them a very comfortable sling with how wide the webbing is, especially for heavier weapons like the Mk14, and I like that the Cobra Buckle makes it easy to get free if the sling gets hung up on something. It's a product that I know will stand up to whatever I could possibly throw at it and last a lifetime.

That is a often repeated talking point.

6. New RSA 507‑D:6 (Liability Limitation for Firearms)​

  • I. In any product‑liability action, no tort liability for firearm manufacturers/FFLs based on the absence or presenceof:
    1. Magazine disconnect mechanism
    2. Loaded chamber indicator
    3. Authorized‑user recognition technology
    4. External mechanical safety (e.g., external manual/triggertype safeties)
  • II. Does not limit liability for actual manufacturing defects or failures to meet express warranties.
  • III. Preserves any other legal defenses under RSA 507‑D or other laws.
  • IV. Contains standard severability clause.
  • V. Defines key terms like “firearm,” “magazine disconnect,” “loaded chamber indicator,” “authorized‑user recognition technology,” and “external manual safety.”

However this bill doesn't protect Sig from manufacturing defects, which is exactly what the problem with these pistols are. As far as I can tell its fairly reasonable, basically anti-Hillary-Hole legislation.

It's in the written order posted two pages ago. Per the Commander of GSC: Everybody now gets issued M4s, in place of M18s, until further notice.

It's only this specific model of sig that's currently in the news for this problem. Only a very few handful of cases so far.

HOWEVER a gun gaining sentience and shooting it's owner (even once) is so catastrophically bad for a gun manufacturer that people will use this as a reason to not buy a Sig for the next five decades easily.
