There was no soul-searching, only doubling down. Tantrums turned to vandalism which turned to standard violence and ultimately murder. Even in the fallout of murder accountability is nonexistent.

You have to actually make things better, nothing has really improved since the year 2000, and many things have actually gone backward, Pax-Obama has had a generation in power and by every metric we are worse off and now normal people are no longer interested in your Anti-Capitalist Anti-American Marxist Race Hustling.

They want problems solved and the Modern Left are utterly incapable of solving a single problem.
