ok serious post now, minecraft modding can get extremly autistic and also dysfunctional. heavy modding is great on a private server where its just a tiny close-knit group of friends who know what they're doing, but for larger and (semi)public servers it's pretty bad imo

then again it's been over 8 years since i last played minecraft so i have no idea what mods are big or popular nowadays

Vanilla survival is fine by me, though I do support the idea of doing it so that cracked copies can be used since my copy is from back in alpha and actually tied to a real email address. Another good game like Minecraft that you might like is 7 days to die, its like big boy Minecraft.

basically, bedrock is more stable and java is more flexible.

most servers use java since it is easier to do configurations with add-ons and stuff.
