So,TLDR Matt Vickers’s defense to the rape accusation is “I couldn’t have raped her Yer Honor, she’s too fat.” Also, Matt unambiguously admits he is dying from AIDS.

Now, I’m not saying “believe all women,” but in a he-said-she-said credibility contest, calling your wife too fat to rape doesn’t exactly have a ring of trustworthiness. It makes him sound vindictive and petty—the kind of person who doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. Seems like it would have been wiser to say the encounter was consensual without any of the prejudicial editorializations. And if she reported a rape “within hours,” that lends credibility to her story.

I'm confused, so he claims he ended things on the 6th after discovering she's a cheating ho, but a few days later he matched with her on a dating site and her first words to him were, "to give you hope". Why would he need hope if he's the one who ended things? The scenario he painted was a woman double dipping on the dl while with him, not chosing another man over him, so why is hope up to her? Saying that there could still be hope is the response of the one who ended things, because if Mathew ended things then the only "hope" for the relationship would be on his end no? Surely her first words would have been along the lines of, "oh it seems I have hope still" if she found herself matched with the one who ended things right? Obviously could be reading into this wrong but it stuck out to me.

Also I don't think Arianna is a saint by any measure, but reading this statement is making me believe the proto Ralph might be even more similar to him in spousal temperament than I previously thought (I mean, Faith did accept many of his actions as normal, and we already know Ralph was the manifestation of her daddy issues...). All his questions could be answered by typical battered spouse syndrome. Why stay with a person imposing spousal rape? For the same reason a person would stay regardless of their routine black eyes. It's normal to them, they think it's something workable, or they don't get it yet.
 
I was, however, plenty indignant about the alleged assault claim, coming from the woman who had violently struck me several times when the children saw. At least three of them were o is enough to remember. But whatever, I'm bigger than her...well, stronger anyways...
