One thing that makes me confused about that "Elio originally being gay" chestnut is, how the hell was that gonna tie into the movie?
It's about a gender-bend Lilo wannabe causing trouble on Earth, and finding a literal safe-space in the stars and befriending a slug alien. Was their gonna be another boy that he would crush on, or....was it Glordon that he would wanna fuck? Oh God, I gave everyone here a horrifying image. You're welcome!
Plus, isn't Elio like 11? Isn't he too young to be worrying or being remotely interested in romance? You usually become truly interested until your hormones go nuts. Eleven is not the age for that to start happening.

One guy asked what Sony Animation ever did to him, and Mat decides to be witty. You'll notice that his humor has devolved into the bastard love child of James Cordon and Amy Schumer is the latter had an affair with Jimmy Kimmel, and took comedy classes from Carlos Mencia, and considers Seltzerberg absolute cinema.
Okay maybe it's not THAT bad, but still lazily unfunny.
DisFanA113 tries to defend him by saying he hasn't been hostile to Sony in years, even though his petty feud with K-Pop Demon Hunters really isn't too different to his past beef with Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs and Hotel Transylvania. It's just a more mellowed out, passive aggressive contrarianism.
But that was then replied by another guy making a pretty good point about Mat's attitude towards the movie and it's Oscar win. A more professional critic would be above mocking a movie's Oscar win just because he doesn't share the same love for. But then again, that's the least of Mat's problems given all the other unhinged edgy shit he's said in the past.
So he's never really been above ANYTHING.
I think this was talked about before, but one of Crimson Mayhem's MANY defenses for his e-daddy was that Mat can't possibly be a Disney shill if he's been very critical towards Disney as a company and even some of their films. As if doing so would negate all of his many bad takes on the Disney films he's so infamously shilled.
Just think of his reviews on Ralph Breaks the Internet, Raya and the Last Dragon, Wish, The Little Mermaid 2023, or even Lilo and Stitch 2025. You noticed how soft he's become with praising films that are unanimously despised by even other big Disney fans? Even disregarding the anti-indigenous agenda the live action Lilo and Stitch film had that's an objective insult to the original? And that's not getting into the films giant middle finger towards "Ohana".
Even if he's been critical towards Disney, he can't fully commit to boycotting the company, because he won't be able to watch the content he needs to review in order to keep any remaining relevance he has left. ALSO, Mat once attacked Schaffrillas by calling him a "dInSeY hAtEr" for DARE being critical to his precious golden mouse, as seen in this old podcast episode. Go to "1:19:29 People are freaking out over the proportions of the girl from Disney’s 2016 short film Inner Workings" to see what I mean.
Sorry Crimson, but being critical of SOME of Disney's practices doesn't negate someone from being a Disney Shill. Especially since they've made a big chunk of their reputation reviewing and being overly defensive of their bad takes like saying "Wish is an 8/10". He owns a lot of Disney movies, merch, and documents himself going to Disney World. He's a Disney Adult Shill.
Also, Ultranatic's another one among AniMat's biggest apologists, but hopefully someone else could debunk his bootlicking defenses shorter than I could.

Well since the forum is a little quiet, I thought I'd share another episode of "Loser Fan Spotlight". I originally called it Loser Fan Awareness, but this is a better title.
Starting with a familiar face.....
Bro literally thought the fish became French Toast growing up. Even though shortly after, the fish vender said "Fish Sticks! Get your Fish Sticks here!" So not only is he a fatass, but he was also a VERY stupid kid. Probably still is too. His mind probably went to French Toast cause it's more appetizing to his glutton mind.
Also, here's one Toontastic Juju....
You're probably familiar with that name if you look closely to the chats in his podcast, but he's among the list of AniMat Asskissers and easily one of his biggest defenders. Whether it's him white knighting Mat's defenses on the Live Action Lilo and Stitch, or his endless assault of Political Brainrot.
He also claims to be a Christian and tries to set a good example whenever the topic comes up on his BlueSky or podcast by going "Amen to that! I'm at least fighting to good fight as a real Christian!" It makes me wonder how he can still watch the guy after saying that "Jesus will become like Greek Myths if Christianity doesn't become more Liberal!" Then gleefully laughs at making such an edgy, bad faith remark.
Also....the dude looks like the result of inbreeding. From that simpleton smile, to that "Before After" post that shows no improvement on his looks, the only pussy he'll get is people as ugly as him.
But knowing his circle of friends, he might have SOME luck. Those social rejects gotta stick together.
Lastly, here's him rejoicing at AniMat's Caillou video becoming the most viewed video on his channel. You know, the one where he compared Caillou to Republicans? That's TOTALLY something worth celebrating...
