Mass shooting reported at multiple locations in Lewiston, Maine

So what I'm seeing is, all of you believe that they actually found the guy dead? What's to stop them from just lying about finding the right guy, exactly? I'm just startled everybody's taking that at face value.
Bro what is our alternative? To assert without evidence that he's actually still alive? That's as schizo as he is/was. I could buy that he's still alive but I'm not gonna take that at face value either. Give me something, evidence or what they gain from lying, otherwise this is just conspiracy zealotry.

Theoretically, if the guy isn't dead or in custody, he will just kill people again. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the multiple mass shootings. So unless this was a case of "disguising your one intended target by killing everyone around them", which doesn't make sense given he shot up more than one place, then if he got away with it he will kill again.

That would mean that A) it would be exposed that the feds were lying about him being dead and B) the feds still have a very active interest in public assistance tracking the guy down.

They get no benefit out of lying about this.

We also don't know what's in the "suicide note". If it says "I'm going to fuck off forever and they will never find me", maybe these chumps do some PR calculus. I still think he's dead, but I'd be more comfortable if the family agreed, more comfortable still if they didn't disown him for some reason and agreed, because then you know they aren't also in on it. But they will probably disown him, he's not David Koresh or Marshall Applewhite or something, he's shot up deaf guy.

Nigger, don't you read? I just motherfucking agreed with you.

I didn't refresh before replying. Anyway he could very well be dead somewhere, and they could've very well found him, it's just that it's not like we have any evidence for either claim. They say they got him, so we just have to accept it, and while it's unlikely that they could rope coroners and whoever else into the lie, we the people don't know shit. Is the conspiracy all that different from just accepting what they tell us?

If you've ever watched your local sheriff's office "qualify" you would be shocked how shitty the vast majority are with pistols, barely keep rounds on a full size silhouette target at 10 yards bad with a Glock 19. It has given me a lot of contempt for authority when the people who are trusted to use force on the job can't hit the broadside of a barn from the inside, and aren't fucking forced to fix it. They should all have a single round like Barney Fife, yet they all carry a full loadout, and aren't even responsible for the rounds downrange if they're legally justified in loosing them off.
It's really hard to plainly explain how different LEO shooting qualifications are compared to military or even hobbyist shooters. It's plainly apparent if you look at the qualifications tests though:
1698499916936.png
It's incredibly rare that someone fails a stage due to the time constraints. It's far more common for candidates to use less than half of the allotted time. A candidate can completely fail the 15yd stage 6 and still have 2 points left over to burn on the other stages. Other than stage 6 you have a maximum range of 7yd. None are scored from a firing position and stage 2 is the only one not scored from a holstered position. You're actually likely to piss off a Fudd range officer for practicing this at a public range.

Use of force is primarily about stopping a close and fast threat that could steal your firearms/equipment. Stopping an armed subject from fleeing your immediate presence is an afterthought. From a training perspective they really do not prepare for eliminating threats over a >5s duration and/or at-range. I.E. a proficient active shooter is something your average by-the-book cop isn't trained/prepared to address. "Doctrine" for such situations was to hem the threat up where actually qualified personnel can then address it. The qualifications lag behind the change in strategy of immediately addressing active threats. Even if they come up with the courage to do it, they are completely out of their depth if they've only met the qualification minimums.

I think contempt is appropriate for the beat cops who think they're Wyatt Earp but more accurately aimed at the people who set doctrine and training standards. You should also save some for the ass-hats that pretend there's a real expectation of protecting other people. These make some sort of sense if you're only ever protecting yourself in close-up situations. Even if you equip and expect them to do something else, how can you expect anything but incompetence if the training standards don't match those changes?

10AM EDT Update Press conference

Edit:
It's interesting that the body was found in a 18-wheeler trailer on an overflow lot for the recycling center, I am pretty sure very early on in the search there were reports of someone saying there were loud bangs coming from their trailers. Also interesting there were two guns found with his body, don't know what kinds of firearms. This could explain the Daily Mail's "Two Gunshot Wounds" nonsense. A rifle was found in the abandoned car, not confirmed to be the weapon used in the shootings.

No forced orders for him to seek mental health help, however I believe reports from the family always said it was voluntary. It's how they're going to worm their way out of the whole red/yellow flag thing.

Owner of recycling plant called the chief directly to have them check out the trailers, somehow overflow was still missed because it is not clearly marked as recycling plant property (???)

No known motive as of yet, mental health is still in play.

ATF - Firearms look to be legally purchased by suspect, "some" very recently.

Police Chief clarified the plant owner called the agency, not him directly, however he did speak with him.

Just started watching the beginning. So they found him in a 'trailer' located in an overflow parkinglot across the street that was on property owned by the recycling company as well, but the police did not know that property was part of the same company. The company owner told them to go looking over there too because Card knew the area well and probably hid inside some of the equipment or storage areas. So the body was found in an area that was not previously searched and cleared, but really should have been. I am curious as to why the police didnt get the entire property searched in the beginning, but it does seem like it is detached from the main operating facility so I could see how communication on property lines may have been botched during all this in the beginning. Police straight up just 'didnt know there was more to the property'. Still seems like a failure to actually secure the area on day 1 though.

We got plenty of information,

I don't disagree with your points, but I do disagree that there's "plenty of information" when almost everything assembled here is an assumption. If anything, this shows how little information there is as everything about the story has to be pieced together from third party accounts of the guy or tracing his family history. Also this speaks nothing of Jesus Campos, the lone security guard to have "witnessed" this only to do a single Ellen appearance and disappear off the face of the earth.

If you haven't seen this, it's wild. Ellen at one point, almost as if coaching him, says "so you're here to talk about this once and then never again" (~5:40). It's crazy stuff and only adds more mystery to an already wild case that has been memory holed. It's the largest mass shooting in American history and we have less information around it than almost any other shooting.

Just because there are lingering questions about an event, just because it isn't wrapped up perfectly like a CSI episode, doesn't mean it's a conspiracy or a psy-op.
I'm not convinced.

Two shots to the head if true just makes me wonder how fast you can send a signal to your brain to spam pull a trigger. Guess it depends on how much tension is on the trigger.

Either way he was white so we'll get a manifesto pretty quick if there is one. They wont hide it like they did with the troon.
Have we gotten that yet by the way?
The lighter a trigger is, the easier it is to bump fire, he may have got an unintentional double from the rifle when he did the deed, which would make a hilarious mess if that's what happened.

We'll never get pictures of his body in the dumpster with his head opened up like a canoe, so its just speculation on my part.

It's not always a conspiracy or psi-op. In this case a lot of questions outstanding point to an ongoing attempt to downplay and coverup how many government systems failed... yet again. This is our beureacratic betters seeking to dodge responsibility for their gross failures that got over a dozen people killed.

"He was in a psych facility back in the Summer of 2023". You mean just 2 months ago? Yeah this is all pure ass covering. Expect blame shifting next.

I feel like if they were lying about him being dead, they would make up a better story of where/how his body was found other than the one that makes the whole search effort look completely retarded by missing his body a mile from his ditched vehicle at a place he was familiar with. Assuming he died right after everything took place, he wasnt even mobile to make finding him more difficult.
I'm going with my autistic third option: that he was ambushed & double-tapped by some solitary hero, who then disappeared into the wilderness like a Chad because he didn't want the publicity & hates too many questions.
The lighter a trigger is, the easier it is to bump fire, he may have got an unintentional double from the rifle when he did the deed, which would make a hilarious mess if that's what happened.
My first thought, and the most likely if he had a binary trigger or FA.
We'll never get pictures of his body in the dumpster with his head opened up like a canoe, so its just speculation on my part.
We can only imagine now, but hopefully someone will eventually "leak" the photos; which unfortunately won't lessen the autism going on over whether it's really him & who shot him.

we had a pretty bad mass shooting this year very near my home at a place I used to frequent, several dead. Horrifying. A week or so after I was out getting groceries. As I was walking out of the store, somone with a bunch of balloons they had just bought accidently popped one trying to get them in their car. Everyone in the parking lot immediately crouched down/ducked, got quiet and looked panicked. I was near a brick wall with a recessed area and instinctually stepped into it for half a second, took maybe 10 seconds for everyone to chill and start talking and heading toward their cars again once it was obvious the noise was a balloon pop not a derranged dude with a gun. That was a bit eerie to witness, the collective fright.
Are you shopping at the black Buffalo grocery store?

Of course the event is going to be pieced together by third parties. That's how forensic investigation works. What's the alternative? The shooter is dead, lol. So I don't get what you mean.

Sorry but that is incorrect. There's extensive photo documentation of the crime scene in Mandalay Bay. Hundreds, actually probably thousands of eye witness accounts of the shooting. Tons of video footage on the ground of people getting shot and dying on camera. Paddock's personal and professional history as well as his family's history are fairly well documented. The records of him purchasing all the weapons himself. Bro that's a lot more than we have on most mass shootings. Christchurch and Buffalo were atypical. Livestreaming your mass shooting is not the norm even in the current year much less back in 2017.

As for Ellen, interviewers coach people all the time. Campos signed an NDA (expected). He was also paid off by MGM (expected). I think he went away because he ended up with a lot of money and didn't need to whore himself out for interviews. MGM didn't want Campos talking because if he kept giving interviews he might misspeak, as people tend to do quite innocently. Anything Campos said could be used against MGM in civil litigation so they wanted him quiet to protect their bottom line. Not surprising.

If you're not convinced, that's fine I'm not trying to press the issue or derail this thread. It's just that for Happenings in general, some people are quick to shout conspiracy but they don't have much, if anything, to support that claim. Also these people tend to decide things are a conspiracy very early on (see: this thread), but forensic investigations take months. In my view this sort of reaction to Happenings just isn't very reasonable. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No, they'll just bury it and bum rush the legislature with an "assault weapons ban"

And yet nothing pinning down a motive, confirming his background, or how a casino, one of the most surveilled and secured locations on the planet, allowed a man to set up a literal armory in his hotel room.
It's almost as if they didn't want to, because something or multiple things are inconvenient about it.
Sort of like how fast & furious was buried for years.

Bro, he carried all his weapons in luggage. Why would someone look out of place at a casino resort (ie hotel) carrying luggage? They don’t check your bags when you check in.

I saw pictures.
massive duffel bags with lumps in the shapes of guns that weighed hella-more than a duffel of anything else would weigh.
This isn't rocket surgery.
The BLM protestor made retarded by a statue falling on his head would know what's in those.

Nobody at a Las Vegas hotel is going to be interrogating a guest because they have some duffel bags that look like they're heavy/weird. 99999 times out of 100000 those weirdly heavy duffel bags are going to contain tripods, lighting equipment, video cameras, tubs of lube and 19 different dildos to shoot a porno scene in the hotel room.

They may even have guns, too.

40 IQ contraritards (contrarian retards, original portmanteau feel free to steal) who will literally think black is white if a major news site confirms that the color white is white: Well you see it was a glow psyop because IT JUST WAS OK!1

Crazy fucks can and do commit mass shootings and politicians love abusing this to take guns away, but it doesn't mean that the crazy fuck was in on this.

Pffft 3 days and he's found dead in a box?? Fucking amatuer hour; some of you had me thinking this guy was dick marcinko himself. If there's one thing thats even more clear after all this, it's this....

Chris Dorner is, AND REMAINS, the all time domestic hide and seek champion! (Osama unfortunately gets the international title :'(

YOU CANT CORNER THE DORNER!

Well if it talks about problematic things like starting to hear the voices after the VA docs gave him pills or getting guns/idea's from friends he met online then we will never see that.
