It seems to line up with this tweet from last month describing what their costumes would be.

I feel conflicted. I'm excited to see Molina and Dafoe back but I hate that I'm gonna have to watch a Marvel movie to see them.
I'm with you. I'm a massive Normanfag and Dafoe is great in everything so I'll watch the movie based on his appearance alone, but I fucking hate Holland and his Spider-man and dread having to suffer through his acting.

More leaks, this time confirming Tobey and Andrew's involvement with the film.

Is it really Tom Holland that sucks or the writing around him that sucks? Because MCU Spidey really isn't like Spiderman except in the most superficial ways.

For me it's both, but I'll fully admit the former is personal, I legit think he's a terrible actor and his babyface annoys me. Autistic, I know, but in my defence I grew up with the chad 90s animated series Peter.

I think Tom does a fine job as both Peter and Spider-Man, he's just held back by the MCU connection to Iron Man which thankfully gets lesser and lesser of a problem with each passing movie. Both MCU films were good and I've got high hopes for NWH to be entertaining if nothing else. It's what comes AFTER that I'm most interested in since we don't really know much about Spider-Man's future in the MCU past this film.

I also feel like his standalone movies where he has the most chance to shine are subpar due to Sony involvement, and he's very much a side character in the Marvel movies.

Also, please, for the love of the Living Tribunal, put William Defoe intro that animatronic test mask.

I have only seen the first Marvel Spider Man film, but Tom just doesn't look or act like any version of Peter Parker. Putting him on a global stage with the avengers is just a terrible decision and making Stark as the father figure instead of uncle Ben absolutely destroys the character. Additionally we don't see this version ever going through any struggle Peter did. He gets his super suit from Tony and everybody kiss his ass every time he appears.
Original Peter Parker was a guy that worked his ass on his own and repeatedly chooses to do the right thing, even if it's at the cost of his private life. MCU Spider Man gets his tech from his super rich best friend and doesn't need to constantly worry about paying the rent and getting his next meal.

You have a point about him getting his tech via Tony and that cheapening his arc somewhat, but you forget that he's always had a rich best friend via Harry Osborn and the rent etc. thing came from an older version of the character who had to juggle college with a working life. Y'know, Tobey's version.

Having a rich friend isn't really comparable to a super rich godfather that knows your secret. And Peter's moral character is one that he'll pay his share of the rent (at a later date of course).

Sony planned to bring Tom Holland over to the "Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters" to trick normies into thinking their movies are connected to the MCU, but they couldn't do it after Far From Home because of the cliffhanger involving Spider-Man's identity being revealed.

I'm assuming "No Way Home" actually alludes to Tom's version being stuck in the Sonyverse. All this talk of teaming up with Venom seems to be alluding to it.

What Tom really needs is a rented apartment with a cute landlord's daughter and a busted door. These are the traits that really make a Spider-Man.

I think I found a production still from the new Spidey movie
