Nice to know that we can continue the honored trend of throwing character development out the window. You'd think after being almost killed after being deceived in the second mlvie would wise the guy up a bit.>Dafoe manages to trick Peter into thinking that their universe's Spider-Men were corrupted and killed them, and Peter needs to free them so they can save their planets
>Peter frees them, and they escape into the city
>Strange shows up and tears Peter a new one, explains that he had been holding them in this prison due to instability in the multiverse connected to each dimension's Oscorp experimenting with inter-dimensional travel and says Peter has a responsibility to stop them
I don't remember Taskmaster ever being a mutant and the skull was just a mask, He was a guy who could just copy anything since young and enhanced that by taking a rip off super serum which had a side effect of him losing his personal memoriesOnly in shitty modern versions for realism Taskmaster has a mask. His face is literally a skull. He was a mutant with the power to copy anyone's fighting style, without any practice, just by watching his opponents fight. That's why this is a downgrade. The mask barely looks like a skull.

CGI's better than BP so far, so it has that going for it.Yellow Panther

Doesn't look like shit but highly derivative of Black Panther and am not a fan of the monsters and shit. Abomination being in it might be good though. Will probably check it out but not as into it as I was before when I thought it was going to be more grounded.

I now think that Ike Perlmutter was tard wrangling Feige. As chairman off Marvel, Ike had veto power and may have kept some dumb ideas off the table. Granted he had some bad ideas of his own (Inhumans tv show, the general direction of Marvel tv, pre D+). Feige did look the golden child with the success of Black Panther and Captain Marvel. But the switch of Marvel Studios to Disney Studios coincides with a lot of the current crop of trash being greenlit. What is it exactly that made the paramount films feel more “movie like” compared to the current crop. Like did marvel just stop giving a shit after selling to disney?
Disney wants average to slightly-above average films to maximize profits and has discovered a finely tuned formula to achieve that. All their films blend together and have an odd sanitized feel as a result. What is it exactly that made the paramount films feel more “movie like” compared to the current crop. I was just about to post how I just decided to start watching the first movies I missed when I saw yours. It really is astonishing how well it holds up. Going to watch Cap's right now. I didn't watch Hulk and have a vague memory of Thor, but I remember and heard both being pretty shit.Watched the first Iron Man again.
Still holds up pretty well, and is one of the very best of this franchise.
Third act isn't the best though. Obadiah Stane, a sneaky underhanded businessman, suddenly becomes a cackling supervillian who can match Iron Man in a fight even though he doesn't have any experience wearing these suits.
It really set the tone for Marvel where every movie has to end in a big overblown action scene, no matter how contrived. Even the Disney+ shows haven't been able to get away from that so far.
Medicore films are a lot worse than just horrible ones, in my experience. You can at least talk about a horrible film. A middling film is just eh. Shame. The Incredible Hulk was mediocre, but Edward Norton was a better Bruce Banner than Mark Ruffalo imo.
A Simpsons/Loki crossover would have been good if this were 2012. Now, this just seems like it’s doing something for the company’s sake. This week's episode of Loki was thankfully a big improvement over last week's.
EDIT:
Simpsons/Loki crossover short announced for July 7th

Loki and Bart Simpson are teaming up for a Marvel-themed short
Marvel's God of Mischief and Springfield's most beloved troublemaker will collide in the 'Simpsons'-themed Disney+ short 'The Good, The Bart, and the Loki.'ew.com

In the post credits scene in Far from Home, they broadcast a video where Mysterio says Spider-Man's real identity, so it's not a big stretch to go from there.
I saw Black Widow today and while a few details have changed in the final version of the film, the general outline and sequence of events happen exactly as this leak said.Supposed leaks from Black Widow on /CO/:

In 1990, Natasha Romanoff and her surrogate sister Yelena Belova live in Ohio with Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian (David Harbour) and Melina Vostokoff / Black Widow (Rachel Weisz) taking care of them. They are a family of spies during the Cold War. Melina and Alexei are trying to steal SHIELD technology and blow their covers, so they have to escape to Cuba and leave Natasha and Yelena behind. Natasha’s biological mom sold her to the government for money but wanted her back, so General Ivan Dreykov (Ray Winstone), the director of the Red Room program, had her killed.
In 2016, after betraying the Sokovia Accords, Natasha asks her friend and fixer Rick Mason (O.T. Fagbenle) for a place to hide from Secretary Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt). Mason reveals he set up a hideout for Yelena (Florence Pugh) in Budapest. Some time before, Yelena was sent to assassinate a scientist but the scientist used a serum to turn off Yelena’s Red Room programming and then died from her injuries. Yelena has a case of serum vials from the scientist. She sends a picture of the vials to Natasha, which leads Taskmaster to her and they fight on a bridge. Natasha escapes and Mason helps her go to Budapest, where she meets with Yelena and they fight. Taskmaster and the Black Widows ambush them, but they escape and hide in the subway air vents. Afterwards Yelena buys a green vest with unnecessary pockets that Natasha hates.
Flashback: Natasha and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) are targeting Dreykov for SHIELD. Natasha is in the car and Clint is in the vantage point. Natasha watches Dreykov arrive with his young daughter Anya and they go upstairs together. Natasha uses Anya to lead her to Dreykov and decides to kill them both. This is why she calls herself a monster. Anya survived and became Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko). Yelena knows what she did and frequently questions Natasha about Anya until she admits the truth.
Natasha and Yelena extract Alexei from a Siberian prison controlled by Dreykov. Alexei is obsessed with Captain America and claims to have fought him, but when the other prisoners ask for a date, Alexei claims it happened in a time Steve Rogers was still on ice. He is also jealous of Natasha working with the Avengers.
Natasha and Yelena believe that Melina is dead, but Alexei reveals she is still alive and working for the Red Room. He leads them to Melina’s pig farm, where they have a family dinner. Melina reveals that the SHIELD technology they stole is for brainwashing the Black Widows and demonstrates by commanding one of her pigs to stop breathing. It falls down and almost dies before the counters the order.
Later that night, Taskmaster and the Black Widows ambush them. Natasha, Yelena and Alexei find out Melina betrayed them to Dreykov and are taken to Red Room facility, but Melina helps them escape and reveals she planned everything to destroy the Red Room. She created the serum and arranged for Natasha and Yelena to get it so they could free the Black Widows and blow up the Red Room facility. The Black Widows still can’t hurt Dreykov because they were programmed into submitting to his pheromones and he attempts to escape in a plane. Natasha takes out her olfactory glands and manages to kill him by blowing up his plane.
Taskmaster survives the crash and fights Natasha, Yelena, Melina and Alexei. Natasha finds out Anya was brainwashed as well and injects her with the serum, freeing her from her father’s control. Secretary Ross and his men are coming, but before they arrive, Mason comes in to extract the Black Widows via helicopter. Anya leaves her Taskmaster gear behind in the wreckage, which is what allows her to copy people’s fighting skills.
Natasha encourages Yelena, Melina and Alexei to leave with Mason and build new lives for themselves, but says she can’t go with them because the Avengers need her. Before leaving, Yelena gives Natasha her vest to show that they are sisters again, it’s the vest Natasha was wearing throughout Infinity War.
Post-credits: Yelena has set up a grave for Natasha in their childhood home in Ohio. Valentina Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) appears and offers Yelena an opportunity to get revenge on the man who killed Natasha. Yelena accepts and Valentina shows her a picture of Hawkeye.
The poster was better than the film. This week's episode of Loki was thankfully a big improvement over last week's.
