So, it's pretty obvious that even with a vaccine, the fix is in and the lockdowns are going to be indefinite and eternal, at least in the key blue states like California that more or less set the direction of the studios.

The Rat and Warner are both pushing for direct-to-streaming for major releases and are low-key wanting to force out physical media altogether and make everything woke censored shit that's only available on approved streaming sites.

It's also kind of obvious they want to crush foreign or independent competition, hence all the smear campaigns against anime and manga or weeb games. Shit like ugly CalArts Tumblr cartoons and capeshit is being forced down our throats despite the constant flops and the MCU is the only one that has avoided "Get Woke, Go Broke" altogether.

If theatrical releases are truly done for and it's all going to be streaming from here on out, then how can we get it to fail badly enough to render it unprofitable? They're gonna keep forcing woke shit and capeshit in particular whether anyone likes it or not, and it'll never go away even if audiences here begin to get sick of it.

If anyone complains about capeshit being dominant for the past twelve years and counting, cancel culture just ensures that the beardos and the dangerhairs will just shout them down into submission and it's not like anyone can just make their own low-budget movies if physical media is dead and streaming is heavily consolidated, curated, and prone to immense corporate censorship.

How can we make the malignant tumor that is the MCU finally go away? If Disney is going to follow in the steps of Warner, then we're truly fucked

Enough people sailing the Seven Seas while flying the Jolly Rogers will have an effect. Question is whether they will be enough to offset the normie Disney drones from consooming Mouse shit.

The only way I could see it working is through a social media-driven and ground-driven organic boycott of these studios. Make it apolitical and avoid certain phrases that can be misconstrued as dogwhistles and avoid specific shibboleths to preemptively deter accusations of racism or misogyny

Hell, burner accounts on social media that invoke just enough of the right purr words and check off enough boxes to be seen as normie can help.

Boycotting Disney might work IF you present yourselves as film and TV preservationists instead of foolishly anchoring the movement to any culture war BS. Push for physical media and encourage normies to buy older physical releases from Amazon and elsewhere since DVD is still a living and active format, discs are cheap and most normies have a device that can play a DVD

That's the front line stuff.

The covert stuff would be sailing the high seas while teaching and encouraging others to do so.

Like, I've been wanting to go sailing for a while but I'm a total newbie at it and still need to learn a lot, like how to run torrents and getting a VPN that actually works and isn't paywalled out the ass. I'm pretty much a Boomer when it comes to tech stuff, to be honest.

Even then, it's a longshot barring some catastrophic attrition to the infrastructure of these companies like a major server accidentally shutting down or something similarly extreme and out of anyone's control.

Serious question; how much money do you, personally, believe they're willing to burn to "force it down your throat"?

Depends on how irrational the dangerhairs and beardos at Disney are and whether or not they have enough higher up positions to matter and whether or not Chapek is as much of an egotistical megalomaniac as Bob Iger was.

I know Kevin Feige is supposed to be handling the Marvel stuff specifically, but I have no idea if he'd be vain enough to keep the MCU going if it's not bringing in the big bucks anymore or if he'd get overruled too easily

Given how low the sales for the comics are and are only kept alive by disney it would have to take a major bomb for them to rethink things. And that's not counting the fact that their other films which grossed billions have some bits of woke in them they could easily shift the blame to something like," oh, it failed due to rona, not a popular ip, too niche etc."

In other news, Alfred Molina is returning as Doc Ock for Spider-Man 3. There's hints that this might be a "bring every Spidey into one movie" kind of thing, but it may just as well be that Molina is so well loved they're bringing him back just like J.K. Simmons.
much like with William Defoe, I always felt Molina was perfect casting, I legit cant read any Spidey comics without hearing William as the green goblin or Alfred as doc oc. hell i always hear Spidey's voice in either toby McGuire or whoever voiced him in the 2000 ps1 game. these people to me ARE the characters, the roles they were born to play. just hope alfred can still pull the role after all this time.

Supaidaaman's actor is still alive.
Maybe there's room for the Emissary of Hell in this new production.
That sentai-like 70s Japanese Spider-Man was fucking awesome, I am for this 100 percent. Keep the disco music, please.
The 2000 ps1 spider game was voiced by Rino Romano, who did "The Batman" kids wb cartoon serviceably. Not a bad guy.

"Real life Spider-verse", especially coming off the heels of how they ended Far From Home, sounds like an insanely retarded idea if they actually pull the trigger on it. They're going to do the exact opposite of what made the first phase work and desperately jam everything together in order to try and get people to care and it's going to be terrible.

ironically it's sentai that became like Supaidaaman
iirc Toei Spider-Man is the show that solidified the idea of "welp, the episode's almost over, time for the monster to turn huge and the hero brings out a giant robot"
I would play the shit out of that videogame, you don't even have to pretend that spiderman is a niggo.

Charlie Cox might be returning as will Dane DeHaan and Willem Dafoe. Gotta get Rosemary Harris too at some point.

Matt Murdock being Peter's lawyer, trying to clear him from the stuff at the end of Far From Home, would be a good way to introduce him into the MCU proper.
