I always felt like he was going to be the next phases Thor to the Captain Larson/Iron Man.
Yeah, seemed like they could have done another film with him in some way. Minus all the political autism behind BP, he played the part well.
Looked at some of his 2020 photos and noticed he slimmed down a lot. Guess we now know why.

God really, rip the guy. I didn't particularly care for the movie, it was just kinda okay, but he was honestly one of the better actors in the thing and he made T'Challa very interesting.
Between this, Corona fucking up holywoods flow including marvels output, many being scared shitless of going to theaters for a while, and possible fatigue of capeshit/shared universe stuff, I have no idea how it will be able to keep momentum. I guess Feige better hope the Disney Plus shows have some staying power.

Agreed. I was wholly unimpressed by Black Panther because it just becomes a CGI shit stravaganza but it was held up because Boseman and Jordan gave solid performances. This is a crippling blow for the MCU, public will demand the sister character replaces BP but that woman is not that good to step up for the role.

But yeah anyway RIP Boseman, no one deserves to suffer thru cancer.

All those pictures of him looking tired while doing the Wakandan salute during press events and tours make a lot more sense knowing he was going through some intense medical treatment during all of that.

Colon cancer from 2016, and either was kept mad private or I'm a bad bugman and paid little attention to my favorite Kang.

Apparantly he and his family kept it under wraps until now.

It does pique my interest as to how Black Panther 2 will play out now. Not to distract from his death.

Source? I saw the pictures of him losing a lot of weight, but not this.

my theory, Boseman didn't want to be treated special for having cancer and wanted to live a normal life outside his personal life
I only know Boseman from the Marvel flicks which he did a fantastic job as the Black Panther
and I didnt think he was 43, he looked like he was in his early 30s

RIP Chadwick Boseman

The guy who played Jackie Robinson (#42) in the movie 42, died at age 42, on the day that the MLB is honoring Jackie Robinson's first game breaking the color barrier. 2020 is weird.

It's really sad the dude died so young. Good on him getting the Marvel nest egg to leave his family.

Oh Disney, please be kind and don’t cgi him for the Black Panther sequel.

It's likely that they would just give T'Challa a funeral in the sequel, and then Shuri takes the helm. That would be the logical, inoffensive choice. Like how Jason Mitchell's character in The Chi was just killed off in Season 3.

I didn't think Black Panther was the greatest thing ever, it was just okay. I thought he was good in the role though, I thought he was *really* good in Civil War tbqh. He was probably my favorite character in that funny enough.

This is shocking me a lot more than I would expect. I never really thought about him much, but looking back he seemed like a pretty good dude in interviews and such. Such a shame.

Damn, I have to say that I wasn't particularly a fan of his version of BP but I can understand that's a director's choice and not the actor's. Still a horrible way to go, but there was something suspicious about how bad he looked in those photos from around a year ago. Never thought it'd be this bad.

There were reports he was filming a movie about some broken down, beaten black samurai, I just assumed it was related to that. Figured he was pulling a Christian Bale or something.
