Remember, making the Doctor Strange sequel a horror movie was “too much", but you can throw in a character who has absolutely nothing to do with Strange. People certainly wouldn't have watched a standalone movie aboutr her so they had to staple her to a character people actually watched. Marvel keeps pushing America Chavez even though no book she's been in has been successful.

What few people celebrate characters like her are the same people who say that like, Superman is lame because he can do anything and then act like Carol Danvers and America Chavez are cool because they have really hard punches.

Will the plot to the Marvel tranny movie involve avenging the theft of a mystical Kree dilation device?
Will they break down during battle and need carbs and cuddles?

When Modok misgenders QuantumTranny shit is gonna be onnnnnnnnn

Me: I don't think it would even be possible for me to care less about the next wave of the MCU...
Marvel: Hold my beer.

Doctor Strange 2 was the Marvel movie I was most looking forward to. With the Black Widow movie edging ahead if they did something original with it. But you have to be fucking kidding me if America Chavez is a character in it. This is the singularly worst comic book character in the Marvel Universe in forever. Like with some woke stuff it doesn't completely take over but this character is, I mean this literally, the worst.

If they put this character in the movie, extreme as it sounds, I have lost all interest in seeing it.

What really blows is that the character as originally created and presented, America Chavez, was fucking rad. Read it here: https://getcomics.info/marvel/vengeance-1-6-2011-2012/ She was a *slightly* larger than (comic book) average woman and had a unique personality. She had a cool noncostume and hung out with even cooler new characters. I am referring to the Vengeance miniseries. The path to her ruination began in Kieron Gillen's boring-as-Hell wokefest, Young Avengers.

Since she first appeared, her bisexuality has been completely erased so that she could be yet another lesbian and her acerbic attitude has been turned into full-bitch, ala Carol Danvers. She was also gifted with two mothers. Two mothers that birthed her with no men involved whatsoever. You can try and read her (swiftly cancelled) series where it reveals this nugget of shit but I don't recommend it.

It is truly dire stuff. https://readcomicsonline.ru/comic/america-2017

If the MCU is going to include America Chavez as a major character and keep ramping up the woke nonsense, then I think we really will get that MCU box office bomb that I've been speculating on.

America Chavez is even more of a detested woke Mary Sue than Rey was in Star Wars. Comic fans hate her, normies and casual fans will go "Literally who?", and there aren't enough dangerhairs and soy bugmen to cover the inevitably massive budget. And I doubt the Chinese will go for a brown-skinned lesbian even if she was a likable and well-written character.

I have a bone to pick with America Chavez, specifically the "punch a nazi" story. Because she supposedly represents latin america and if you know your history (unlike Marvel writers) then you'd know that those countries weren't exactly hostile to the nazis, quite opposite actually.

Yeah gotta admit the prospect of a Sam Raimi directed Doctor Strange sounds awesome!

But I still have a feeling the producers will fuck it up, especially with the America Chavez rumors.

Spidey 3 was mainly studio interference. If Raimi got his way it wouldn't have sucked ass. No Eric Foreman venom. We needed a Red Foreman venom.
Wasn't Raimi going to have Peter cheat on MJ with Black Cat? I don't know if his version would have been that much better. I think Spider-Man 3 was doomed from the start, sadly.

Eh... people forget Rami directed Spiderman 3. (I.e. the worse one.)

Yeah, the worst one from his own trilogy. As far as Spider-Man movies go, give me Spidey 3 over the Andrew Garfield bullshit and that awful Venom movie anyday. I would also say that Spidey 3 is better than a handful of the MCU movies.

It ain't a flawless movie, that's for damn sure, but all of its flaws stem from the fact that Sony got greedy and decided to take full control of the movie. That said, I think the movie has a lot of redeeming qualities, too (and I honestly think that's because of Raimi).

If Raimi gets to do what he wants with Marvel, then Doctor Strange 2 could be one of the most fun and creative MCU movies. That said, the MCU has had a record with picking awesome directors ... Only to drop them due to "creative differences." I'm still salty that Edgar Wright didn't direct Ant-Man.

I'm hoping for the best. If Raimi directs this and gets to have the creative control that James Gunn has been granted, then I'm probably going to love it. Benedict Cabbagepatch is going to get his ass kicked by Raimi, lol.

And I want a Bruce Campbell cameo, where he appears as a Multi-Verse Doctor Strange. Make it happen, Marvel. Now.

I strongly disagree. I actually almost walked out of Spiderman 3 back in the day because it was so fucking stupid, and not even because of how terrible a job Rami did portraying one of my favorite villains/anti-heroes in Venom (Yeah I've seen Rami say he didn't like Venom, and never wanted to use him in a film)

That only proves that Rami didn't ever actually *get* Spiderman. Venom definitely NEEDED to be in a Spiderman movie at some point (If it were me, I'd give peter the black suit in movie 3, and make Venom be the villain in movie 4, because fuck trilogies,) but now Venom will probably never be done well because of how badly Rami fucked up the character in SM3. Studio mandate or not, Rami is still the guy who chose Topher Grace for the role, a gross miscasting that NEVER could have worked.

The (not so) Amazing Spiderman films, both of them, were just meh, but I don't actually *hate* either of them. (I'll just probably never see either again, because meh.) But yeah, I still hate Rami's Spider Man 3.
