I just wanted to let everyone know that I predicted the LGBT pandering a long time ago.
Am I smart or am I smart?

Then what's the point?
The point is that the MCU is done and they're doing whatever they can to keep it alive.
Pandering to blacks and feminists and manufacturing controversy worked out well for Black Panther and Captain Marvel so they're at it again.
I really hope it won't work this time.

I never saw any of those shitty mob movies Scorsese made
So, you never saw them but you know that they're shitty... interesting...
I mean, I don't feel like watching Apocalypse Now or Platoon because I don't like gritty war dramas but I can't really comment on their quality because I've never seen them.

No there wasn't, West was still appearing as Batman well into the 80s via public appearances and voice overs and almost every piece of Batman media aped his version of the character until Burton made a darker version of the character popular and everyone cloned that.

Suffice to say prior to Keaton Adam West WAS Batman.

So yeah you don't know what you're talking about.

The ugly woke that will amount to literally two minute cameos that will be easily edited out like we saw with Star Wars.

Your argument doesn't really work since they aren't even the same. Considering West was a campy cartoony version of Batman and Keaton was the more gritty version I think them being different works. Just if Wolverine is replaced in the MCU with someone far worse or weaker (they will probably cast some really young unappealing actor or race/gender swap him), it won't work.

So again, Cartoony Batman to Gritty Batman

Gritty Wolverine to soft soyboy Wolverine.

My argument is that Wolverine will be recasted and unless the movie is total ass people will accept it just like they accepted West getting replaced despite being THE Batman for two decades.

Wolverine like Spider-Man and Batman is far too iconic he will survive a recast.

If he's recast with someone worthy yes then it will be fine.
The issue is Feige right now isn't as bright or as careful as he used to be.

Reminder that "iconic" Captain America actor they went with was both the Human Torch in two shit-tier Fantastic Four movies, and this guy.

So during a run I tried to think if there is any underlying reason people like the MCU. Like, is there even any idea or philosophy behind it that the audience likes? So here's my autistic thunks about it.
When you say Super Heroes every hack will yell "Authoritarianism" and it's easy to see why, a lot of the lineup (Captain America, Black Panther) are either a member of or are a part of big organizations who have more power than any sane person would allow in a normal world.
But what about the others? Iron Man is the best example. I immediately thought about Libertarianism, but that's not really correct. Iron Man (and the other "self made" heroes) doesn't really embody personal freedom and autonomy, it is a guy with power using it to enforce his moral on others (technically modern liberalism, but that's besides the point). So what other things can it be? Objectivism springs to mind, but Objectivism is kinda retarded, badly defined and relies on a belief that humans looking for happiness without obstructions naturally leads for improvements, which isn't supported by the films where Tony Stark pretty much keeps a monopoly on his power against individuals who want to use it for it's own goals. I think the closest idea to heroes like Tony Stark is Oligarchy, a small group of power who has the vast majority of power.
But those two idea don't necessarily sync in, that's the literal point of the Civil War film (which by this view boils down to Authoritarianism vs. Oligarchy) and here lies the real philosophy behind the MCU. Rather than talk about the different worldviews the heroes have a big cgi brawl - In the end, the only idea that's important is who is the strongest so he can force his belief on everyone else. The whole point of the MCU is that "might makes right". It is even the reason why Thanos "won" the infinity war.

So yeah, several paragraphs for a "no shit" conclusion. But it explains why people like Marvel so much, including evil regimes who you'd think they'll try to block those films. There is no morality or goal, as long as you are a weak person then you don't have any choice but to obey those with power. But if you have power then it is your right to enforce your belief on others. So the peasants can keep consooming the movies without thinking about moral implications, the heroes won and so they are right, no need to think. And this extends to the world outside the cinema, you need to follow rules and do what powerful people say because they are something stronger than you. Really a beacon of optimism.

Saw the Black Widoe trailer.

Can we make David Harbour the star instead, please - he actually emotes and acts. Fuck it, have him play Black Widow and do it completely straight faced.

or just

throw it all in the garbage and make the Metal Gear movie that they're clearly ripping off anyway

Scott Derrickson has dropped out from directing Doctor Strange 2.

This is bad news. Remember the whole "This will be the MCU's first horror movie" and now this shit...

Something tells me this is a really bad omen.

This. It's a different variety of capeshit, but I will absolutely take it over Next Marvel Movie That Only Really Exists To Take May's Box Office.
Marvel plans to introduce LGBTQ and trans characters in Phase 4 of MCU including 'in movie shooting right now'

IT BEGINS!

And yet, a faithful adaptation of Jack Kirby's New Gods may never see the light of day.

There is no justice in this world...

I'm usually not worried to what Disney might do to the MCU since they've been smart enough to not fuck with Kevin Feige. But now I'm starting to wonder if they'll start fucking with him now, especially with Bob Iger out soon.

Well this is going to suck, I was looking forward to this movie but I guess Marvel got worried about losing out the kids despite having a movie where half the universe died.

I too was looking forward to the new Dr. Strange movie. The first is, alongside Antman, the Marvel movie I enjoyed the most. It had a little more chew to it than the others which tend towards the metaphorical Junk Food. Tilda Swinton brought a lot to it and I guess she wouldn't be in the sequel but I still was optimistic. This is a really bad sign.

The MCU should be trying to pull off something special - to do different styles of movies in the same setting. If they could pull that off they'd reach a whole new creative level where they turned the franchise into something that could go on for another decade. It would be unprecedented in movie history as they created a kind of meta-genre based on the shared universe. They've done this partially with films like The Winter Soldier and Antman. But this suggests they're trying to make everything fit the same formula which means people are going to stop watching these movies in entirety once they bore of it. Something which is already happening.

Not everything is a Josh Whedon action-comedy. Not everything has to be.

The first Doctor Strange grew on me more since I watched it. If they do continue the formula, I guess we can view Endgame as the true ending.

Welp there goes any remaining enthusiasm I still harbored for the MCU. This was really the only movie in the upcoming slate I was actually looking forward to.

I find it really hard to care about the MCU post-Endgame at this point. I'll be seeing Black Widow because it's a movie most of the fans have been asking for over the past DECADE, and I hope I'll enjoy it ... But I'd be lying if I said I'm so excited that I'm counting down the days for it. As everyone else has said, it's a "too little, too late" situation with this. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised. But seriously, fuck Marvel Studios for shitting out that terrible Captain Marvel movie before even considering a Black Widow movie.

The only other MCU movies I'm looking forward to are the next Spider-Man (because ... It's Spider-Man-- not so much because it's the MCU), and Guardians of the Galaxy 3. I was looking forward to Thor 4, but that anticipation died a sad death once we found out what the movie was going to be about and who was going to be in it.

I don't really care about the Disney+ shows, because I don't have the damn time to watch 500 shows. The only one I am remotely curious about is the Falcon & Winter Soldier series?

But yeah, Endgame was truly the end for me. It is what it is.
