Personally, I think one of the things that might backfire on Marvel/Disney with Phase 4 is the reliance on streaming shows. There is no guarantee that audiences will show up for all these series. They also represent a bigger time commitment than buying a ticket and sitting down for two hours.

I legit think the push to the streaming service is because they can Hollywood Accounting the numbers easier on that than theaters.

Why can't Disney just let the MCU end with End Game? They would've ended the franchise on a relative high note and focus on either creating new IP's or making bank off all the myriad IP's they already own.

Of course, I do think a woke MCU film bombing at the box office would likely be a major catalyst in the demise of woke entertainment and would definitely put the brakes on capeshit, at least for a little while....

This is almost certainly the route they'll go, especially with Black Panther's success. They could set him up as an adversary for the Wakandan kangz who sat on their asses while their brothas hacked each other apart with machetes in Rwanda and Congo.
