It's so obvious that its taking place before, during, and after Civil War and Infinity War and Endgame. If Marvel were smart they'd make it her in the soul stone reflecting on her life and past but they aren't smart enough for that.

I think that another reason why this might feel underwhelming (apart from mostly just getting confirmation of dates for stuff we already know about) is that a Phase 4 that doesn't seem to be building towards something feels like a letdown from Phase 3, where we knew from the start that it was going to lead up to Thanos. And even though the shows will probably be fun, the fact that they are being relegated to television means that they will most likely feel like side stories. But then again, we don't know how the rest of Phase 4 will play out after 2021. It might be too much to expect that they can pull off another leadup like they did for Endgame.

I agree. Casting actresses as superheros or villains are dime a dozen that I'm amazed people still find reasons to get upset about it! Yes, it's Hollywood trying to do everything to kiss the SJW's asses and piss off traditional comic book fans, buts I don't care! I'm 100% here for Blade and The Fantastic Four. I'm also excited for the next Doctor Strange movie and the Black Widow movie. What will be nice for the Black Widow movie is that it'll fit in nicely with the Infinity Saga.

My excitement for Thor 4 just plummeted. We all want Beta Ray Bill. What we're getting is more Natalie Portman? Does Marvel not realize that Jane's absence in Thor: Ragnarok is part of the reason why it's a beloved movie in the MCU? lol. Fucking what.

I know I'm in the minority, but I found the first two Thor movies to be really dull. I didn't even like Loki in them. They had a procedural feel to them, feeling the most like an assembly line product from Marvel. I know a lot of people complained about Ragnarok stealing the tone from Guardians, but that series needed some humor. You can't tell me that the first thing that popped in your mind seeing Anthony Hopkins in that ludicrous armor was "oh, I hope they take this seriously."

I'm more of a comics fan, haven't paid attention to the MCU since Civil War.

I just hope the wokefad dies before they get to X-Men since that's all I care about.

I think it’s sort of a negative feedback loop there. She probably didn’t try all that hard because she knew it was gonna be shit anyways. Her acting certainly contributed to the movie being shit, but it’s nowhere near the top - especially for Dark World.

Also @Secret Asshole F4 heavily implies Doom being the Loki of Phase 4, with Galactus being the Thanos.

I'm kinda confused on how Jane-Thor would work in the context of the MCU considering their version of Thor is an alien unlike the comics where the various pantheon gods are like a mystical by-product of humanity's consciousness.

I could see them glossing over that and ignoring it though. That change really bugs me as someone who likes Thor and the biggest irony is it was done to make him more digestible to casuals.....who seem to not even realize they made him an alien, just "God of Thunder".

I care about Fantastic Four, that's pretty much it. I hope to god it's in this Phase, because outside of Black Widow, Blade and Thor 4 it is seriously, seriously, underwhelming. Daniel Bruhl coming back as Zemo is pretty exciting though.

The X-Men being introduced this late is going to be even more jarring than Captain Marvel.

The other thing is that I was hoping Disney had some announcements about trying to get Daredevil and co started again. Thanks for the disappointment.

She can definitely do comedy tho. Her SNL stints are legendary. She can do dramatic well......but I refuse to acknowledge Perfect Blue: The Unofficial Stolen Live Action Ballerina Ripoff.

Alfre Woodard and Mahershala Ali are both two people that have played characters in both the same universe (ironic considering the best scene in the entire Luke Cage series was Mariah's breakdown in ep 7)

MCU Valkyrie is awesome, in my opinion. The Thor movies already have their "strong wamen" character.

I'm really, really, really hoping that this whole thing is just an intentional farce ... But again, I'm not holding my breath for it.
