So to get off Spidey for a bit:

Which C-Z list properties have potential in the MCU?

I could see a Darkhawk show (animated) working.

The Chaste and the hand but that might step

Cable could hold a solo movie.

Maybe Nova?

If I had one wish for the MCU, it'd be that they'd focus more on plots and villains and less on the hero. There isn't a single hero in the MCU with a rogue's gallery except Thor, and his only rogue died in Infinity War. The MCU desperately needs a Dr. Doom, a Kang the Conqueror or an Enchantress.. ie someone on equal footing to the heroes who is not always antagonistic but who is always scheming towards his or her own ends.

I could see a Darkhawk show (animated) working.

There was already a Darkhawk cartoon. It was called Guyver. :sighduck:

They had a chance with Mandarin, but blew it.

Same with Red Skull.

Marvel/Disney is too seemingly scared of a single character failing to hit that they aren't giving anyone a chance to build a long term plot.

Even Sony looks like they will shoehorn half the sinister six into a single movie.

So, this video was pretty eye-opening:

This explains EVERYTHING going on with Sony and Marvel Studios' current joint custody of Spider-Man. It also reveals that MCU Spidey is successful in spite of Sony's absolute greed.

The complaints I have with Michelle being MJ? The complaints I have about Uncle Ben seeming to have zero effect on MCU Peter's life? The complaints I have about too much emphasis on "Iron Man Jr" ? ALL because of Sony trying to tie Kevin Feige's hands behind his back by telling him what parts of the source material he can and cannot use.

Sony still has their eyes set on their own "Spider-Man Cinematic Universe."

Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of things to love about MCU Spider-Man. However, in both Homecoming and Far From Home, I felt that there were moments of great opportunity (that were missed) to really push the drama and the emotions to elevate the movies. Now I know why those opportunities were missed.

At least Marvel could do whatever the heck they wanted with Spidey in the Avengers movies. Marvel gave Tom Holland those heavy moments, and goddamn, did Holland break my heart in those scenes.

You've gotta be fucking shitting me.

MJ got gingercided because of the fucks at Sony?

It was better than Spider-Man 2002? Seriously?

Like seriously you actually think it's better than Spider-Man 2002?

Edit: It's nice that people have shittier taste these days.
For all my gripes about MCU Spidey at least he doesn't give me stalker vibes of a dude who is way too obsessed with a chick.* Him watching MJ get dressed is fucking creepy when you watch it as an adult. *

Plus those movies did Harry dirty.

Dafoe was acting circles around everyone lol.

Iron Man 3 is definitely among some of the worst. They fucked up Mandarin, included useless annoying child, changed Madame Masque to a generic disposable woman...

The worst films are widely agreed to be:

IM2
IM3
The Dark World
Age of Ultron
GOTG Vol 2

He looked for like a second after accidentally seeing it calm down

I really like Iron Man 3 ... Though I totally understand why the changes from the comics pissed off so many fans. They didn't piss me off despite being a fan of the comics because I think those changes worked in context of the film itself.

And I love Guardians 2. Like, legitimately love it. And I think it has one of the strongest endings to any MCU movie ever.

For me, the bottom MCU movies are hands-down Captain Marvel, The Incredible Hulk, and Ant-Man & The Wasp.

EDIT: Fuck. I completely did not even think about Thor: The Dark World. lol. Replace Ant-Man & The Wasp in my bottom 3 with this movie.

I don't hate Thor: The Dark World, though. I could watch Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston bicker at each other all day and still be entertained. They totally saved that movie.

Última edición:
So far I have some oddball viewpoints on the series. I genuinely like Incredible Hulk, Thor 2 and Age of Ultron, and found Winter Soldier to be really questionably paced and tonally inconsistent.

Watching Black Panther now but have to wonder what kind of reception this film would have gotten with its...er...imagery if the director hadn't been a black guy. I mean if you could have seen my shock at them having a dude in a gorilla mask I think you would have broken up laughing.

Not a bad movie overall. Villain was lamer than he was hyped up to be.

Última edición:
I haven't watched a lot of them but I mostly enjoyed Thor 2. Ultron seemed okay. Mostly dug Winter Soldier, too. Started liking it for basically beginning with The Start of MGS2 But It's Captain America (which is really funny since Hayter was Cap's VA for a while), but I really enjoyed going through it.
