If Rogue is an allegory of something, it's child trafficking. The movies don't portray it that way and comics whitewash it because Mystique is gay, but she basically kidnapped Rogue when she was still a kid, trained her using her powers to her own benefit, never helped her to control them, and finally made her take Carol's powers which was what made her crack. If you go for Xmen cartoon, it's more in your face because you see how she's learning to seduce men to get close to them before knocking them out and it was Mystique who took her to Magneto to "help" her.

I'd say the add the whole "Genosha" bit so Mystique wouldn't take the blame.
