This ultimate Wolverine comic is pretty good.

Imagine if Wolverine was brainwashed to become the Winter Soldier, and does a pretty effective job at it.

I didn’t say this when I watched it but I recently watched Brave New World, it was one of the worst fucking movie’s I have ever seen.

I don't even know the full gist of Spider-cuck & specially of the Deadpool & Wolverine thing (thanks for that info), but the bits I know of his divorce puts it all in perspective.

It's truly pathetic with Zeb. His ex-wife Heidi Gardner left him a while ago, later gave an entire interview on it, removed all of her photos of him from her social media, & is probably fucking celebrities every week on SNL. He is dead to her. He's considered impotent, which is considered the reason behind his divorce.

She even had a black kid later (who honestly feels like her dogpurse), so you know why Paul is always some shade of brown to black.

Zeb literally got cucked, went through a shit divorce, & vented his cuck misery on the book he was in charge of, turning Peter into a man child unable to hold down a girlfriend.

Now, Zeb Wells is making a garbage Marvel Zombies show, & aging like shit. He's balding rapidly by the second & he's dead to her.

Is this why his Hellions was so fucking good and then his Spidey was so fucking bad?

They better have something like this in the movies.

I prefer the Illuminated version

Redoing Peter's marriage would be a start, but it doesn't address the real issue. The real problem is that Marvel wants to keep him frozen in time forever. None of these characters truly grow or change unless it’s through a gimmick that either sticks or gets reversed when a new writer or editorial mandate comes in. Marvel has no problem with alternate versions of Peter being married—Ultimate Spider-Man isn't even the first time he's had a happy marriage.

It’s just more obvious with Spider-Man because he’s the flagship character. But this applies to everyone. While undoing his marriage was a devious move, they actually could’ve pulled it off with less backlash if they had waited a few more decades. But they couldn’t because the fans who saw him get married were still around buying from them—and they did it with a braindead deal-with-the-devil story, rubbing salt in the wound. But let’s not pretend the higher-ups hadn’t already planned this for their money-printing mascot. That’s what he is now—more of a brand than a character.

Comics don’t have endings. They don’t have meaningful character growth. Peter being stuck in time isn’t the disease—it’s just a symptom. The real issue is the industry's refusal to move on.

I will say from what I heard about the new Daredevil show, its apparently very clear which episodes were made by the team pre-overhaul of production and which were made by the new guys (which allegedly are episodes 8 and 9)
It was noticeably different, though not in a bad way. If this is the standard going forward I'll probably like the second season more than the first.

Yes. And you know where this is very obvious?

Krakoa.

For those who haven't read (and nobody did or should), Krakoa was an era of the X-men when they had again their own country, island, whatever. At some point, there was an "order" for the mutants to procreate... You think any of the big names got married and had babies? Nah. It was a complete disaster with the babies that were born being abandoned by their parents and the rest of the mutant just fucking.

Contrast that with how they talked in the 90s runs about having lives and plans for the future.

Current writers and readers they target this to don't want the characters to grow up, they want them to live the adolescence lives they couldn't have.

They left the "Human World" where they were treated like monsters only to treat themselves like animals. Krakoa was a mutant BlueSky. Stuck with only each other, they had no one to victimise them, praise them, glorify them or abuse them. No one but each other that is. Once all of them were in an equal field with one another, without the victimisation and otherness from their surroundings that defined their recent history due to activist writers, the characters had nothing to do other than to create cliques, argue and fuck. If these were the 90' or even the 2000's X-men, this would have never happened. The characters had to be destroyed beyond recognition in order to make them agree with creating Krakoa.

Can you imagine a Krakoa conversation between two "victims"? Who will apologise and admit they should do better? The mutant paradise from Hell!

At this point I am convinced when an actor talks about how they're version of a character or whatever is different than the older one and need to bring up how progressive they are, I'm convinced Disney definitely is behind that. It's no coincidence how they've done this consistently with their live action remakes and such.

Not sure on the actual quality of F4, but I am more optimistic for it than most of the established movies Marvel is pumping out

Playboys are icky and problematic.

I'd say I called it but I think everyone did.
He does know you're not supposed to agree with Johnny's womanizing, right? He's supposed to be a dick because he's the youngest and most immature of the team.

In general, an actor or writer saying they want to "update" something is an immediate red flag.

Consider the fact that the Krakoa era lasted, in-world, like 3 years going by the 3 annual Hellfire Galas.

Yet Shogo, the baby that Jubilee adopted like a decade ago, is still a fucking baby. And remained a fucking baby throughout the Krakoa era.
Granted, there was some magic shit in Otherworld where Shogo turned into a dragon for a while but still. He shouldn't be a baby still in general, much less after the SOLID 3 TIMELINE OF 3 YEARS.

Like usually its just some stuff given to them by their agent or whatever

Honestly its funny how the other F4 actors at that event sounded more authentic than this performative activism. Like the fact Jack Kirby was even acknowledged at all is nice since normally they don't really acknowledge comic creators at these things.

This is what is so sad about Spider-Man in particular, is he was the one big hero who DID grow and change. he started out as a piece of shit selfish faggot with an arrogant superiority complex. thought the world fuckin' owed him something because he was smart.

he got btfo and humbled big time. and grew the fuck up. he gained (and lost) family, friends, and lovers. learned to put responsibility first and do the right thing. Even to his own detriment. grew into a man, a good one like his adopted parents were raising him to be too.

learned the importance of hard work, sacrifice, gained social skills, the whole 9. And also learned just because you do the right thing you still suffer. That's life.

read a random ditko spidey issue, then one from early JMS or around that. dude is a different guy altogether in the best possible actual character growth way.

him having a healthy marriage despite his superhero bullshit was the final stage in his evolution. and they fucked it. not only did they take that away, but he's regressed as a character. Peter Parker is unrecognizable to what he had become. It's a fuckin' tragedy.

Episode 8 was the first time I felt interested in an episode.
Why did they untie Bullseye's hands though now that was a deadly mistake. (pun intented) They didn't really need to do that to stitch him up. They could have come up with a better excuse.
The jail break was pretty silly overall. I guess this took place in one of those movie jails with no cameras or locking doors. Even the most jank county jail I've been to have three locked doors between the infirmary and the outside. So you're telling me that when Bullseye is waiting to leave the infirmary, no one in Sgt. Command looks at the monitor and wonders, "hey, where did the prisoner, doctor and familiar CO go? and who is this new CO who wants to leave the infirmary" before unlocking the fucking door. Gimme a fucking break.
