...but I don't think he's wrong.

I think he was perhaps expecting to be part of the X-Men project for the MCU and things went wrong for him.

At least there is some mystery about the Doom movie.

Like how many reshoots they will need just on its own faults vs how many reshoots it will need when Fantastic Four fantastically flops.

I've long ago given up on them releasing an even watchable movie, but I do find myself hoping for bigger and bigger flops, which is just as entertaining. It'd be so easy for them to make both money and fun movies but they refused for years and are now incapable.

it would be kinda neat to get to see the original movies for all the Disney movies that were endlessly reshot

I agree, especially Blacktain America before they took all "muh racisms" out of it. I mean I'm sure it would be tedious and inane, just like it was after the reshoots, but it woild be funny to see it in all its initial retarded glory.

I really started thinking about it with the Seven Diverse Independent Contractors and how they completely were thrown out for hideous cg dwarves, but yeah there's a lot of movies the mouse has made the movie, then redone like half or more of it

I think he was perhaps expecting to be part of the X-Men project for the MCU and things went wrong for him.
I was excited to see the Kelsey Grammer Beast (The only bright spot in an otherwise garbage movie.) make a return...
The *first* time it happened... Which was in Days of Future Past, over a decade ago at this point, and they already brought him back once to try to salvage that garbage Marvels movie which still landed like a wet fart in church.

So yeah, sour grapes aside, the faggot's got a point.

Nobody cared about the Guardians of the Galaxy before the first movie came out, but now they're a household name.

I think people forget that when Iron Man came out, way back in the day, Iron Man was a B-List character. The MCU was, metaphorically, built in a cave with a box of scraps.

The tier doesn't matter. Iron Man, Thor, CA, Guardians, Ant-man, Dr. Strange were all led by white guys with charisma. They also had scripts that, while goofy, didn't fucking insult the source material or the audience.

Replace the leads with hateable girlbosses and talentless muds, replace the scripts with AI retardation and here you are.*

In a hole that you have neither the tools nor muscle to dig yourself out of.

* And while I'd like to just be racist and sexist here, that's not really what it is. Blade, and to a lesser extent Spawn still worked because the leads were good. A War Machine movie ten years ago would've probably worked. ScarJo's movie a few years earlier and with a better script would've worked. But you can't fuck up the casting AND the script and get anything. You already burned all the goodwill that let you get away with it the first couple times.

Marvel has had only two big names through the 90s before comics all collapsed: Spider Man and the X-Men.

The GotG should have been what the MCU X-Men could have been. Kinda. But I'm glad Gunn wasn't in charge of them.

IICR, they brought them all back for "Days..." to give them a proper final and closure after Last Stand was meh. Which many of us were pleased with. And D&W was meant to be the final goodbye for the Fox era. The final credits with that sad song was meant to be their goodbye.

Turns out, Feige is getting desperate because nothing works and they haven't yet even got one single important mutant cast. Rumor said Sadie Sink would be Jean Grey, turns out she's going to SM (Mary Jane or Firestar, another fellow mutant?). He knows the X-Men are popular, but they don't even have the script or how to include them in the MCU without breaking everything about it. He wants to use them, but he can't.

Fortunately for him, people reacted so well to Channing Tatum that the only way he could use him is by bringing the rest of X-Men who are more contemporary to him than a new young cast (he's still the youngest of the bunch: Marsden is 50). This is how he's buying some time until he has his permanent X-Men.

DeMayo also said that Feige was resentful (can't remember the actual words and I'm not searching bc his nudes are all over twitter) over the success of X-Men 97. I can believe that because Feige is a fan of the X-Men and he's waited so long to finally include them in the MCU, and X-Men 97 brought them back to the spotlight first with a much different story, even adding other Marvel characters that people were glad to see (SM, DD, even Iron Man and Captain, lmao).

I know people often say this about the Marvel comics, but it's the MCU the one that needs to be rebooted ASAP. Not only the actors are all ageing, but the plot is a mess and adding the mutants is gonna make it messier.

Isn't that what the MCU is doing, I thought the rumor was that Secret Wars is going to set up a reboot

New Ironheart image.

Yes, really.

Looks like a fucking Beetleborg reject lol.

Also how can anyone who’s not a consumer sheep be excited for this new movie and Doom with RDJ behind it. Doom was never fucking set up, so why would I care if I had no idea who the character was. They are literally just using RDJ to try and get people interested and not bother doing the work. Doom is at a level more important than Thanos and should be treated as such. But at most he might be in that Fantastic Flop movie and then his the big bad of the next big Avengers. Like yea the casting is cool but this just seems like Disney begging people to come back to these movies. It’s literally dangling keys for babies but in movie form.

What they should do is just stop making anything for a few years, get some real quality writers and actors and reboot the whole thing but this time use the comic storylines better. I was always confused why the fuck they were speed running to Thanos when so much happened before than that could’ve been used. But obviously that’s not going to happen and nothing good is coming lol.

It is a shame that this guy understands the X-men better than anyone else working for Marvel. Just sad.

It's one of the reasons he got fired. The sexual harassment story was the excuse they were waiting for and that's all on him for being such an idiot coomer.

The writers were insisting on a Logan/Morph take, and he said no. Since then, they were hoping to cancel him.

And now they are stuck with worse degenerates that will tank Marvel further. The ones that stayed are worse in every way.

Hope Bubba Igor is happy with his hires.

A big part of the problem with doing anything post-Endgame is that they made no effort to set anything new up before Endgame to lead into. Even if they had good writers and chose good sources the big chain theaters demand big capeshit releases in their slate and they can't afford to wait another 11 years for a new crop of 2 billion+ grossers to mature; Disney would have been strong armed by their investor partners into bumrushing through the Krull and Doom shit anyway. It's a slurry of retarded corporate decisions across the entire film industry that doomed the MCU long-term.

The problem with gay nigger's position is that everything he said is true of the original Avengers.

Hulk had two flops under his belt. Thor was critically panned. The First Avenger did terrible at the box office. Joss Whedon has never made a good movie. And the film's villain was a has-been who had already been defeated in Thor's solo film. The only build-up to the original Avengers were 30 second scenes at the end of the other movies.

Let's see what the Russo brothers directed before Winter Soldier... nothing but sitcoms.

There is some truth to the fact that these are unpopular, unknown characters. There is some truth to the fact that Marvel's brand is tarnished and Doomsday has an uphill battle to fight if it wants to be successful.

At the same time, let's not get bogged down in retarded Quartering-level criticisms. The movie's not going to fail because the characters are B-list, or the Russos made a bad film for Netflix. The movie's going to fail because it will suck, just like every other Marvel project since 2022.

About the movies? Yes. But Hulk, Ironman, and Captain were already more known characters than Shang-Chi or Thunderbolts. A movie about Captain America is always gonna be more attractive to audience than Iron Fist or Ms. Marvel. People are really just gonna ask "who?"

A big part of the problem with doing anything post-Endgame is that they made no effort to set anything new up before Endgame to lead into.
They kinda did. But they really thought the new set of characters were gonna attract an audience just because it had the Marvel seal. They made the same mistakes the comics were doing: release book after book of unknown characters to replace the older ones rather than complementing them. People really don't care about America Chavez, Kamala, Riri, or any of these people. The only ones who care are the "new modern audience" who don't care either, just like to rub on your face that new characters are now minorities.

To me, the one character that had potential to be their new leader was Strange, whose solo movie I loved. But Strange 2 was barely about him and more about more Wanda drama because women love Wanda for some reason and they had to follow the stupid Wandavision plot.

Surprised no one mentioned Brie Larson isn't in this film, bascially she went from being fucking everywhere in 2019 to

iron man was such an unknown that i knew plenty of people who assumed the movie was going to be an adaption of the black sabbath song. Like it made more sense to us than there being a comic book character named that.
