I wonder if Victoria Alonso signed off on that. Granted, she's Argentinian. But she's also a dyke and maybe the focus of women being first and foremost in the MCU.

The lesson of black panther is that even a ball of infinite money and sci fi technology literally fell from the heavens into black people's hands, and they had thousands of years to build a society and culture around it, all they could accomplish is a monarchy where the 1% lives in opulence with everyone else living in mudhuts farming rhinos, while they worship animal gods by taking hallucinogenic drugs given to them by witchdoctors, and the line of succesion is a fight to the death where they chuck spears at one another.
This video will forever be relevant in every single black panther discussion ever.

The way they came up with his name "Namor" = Niño sin Amor (boy without love) => {N}ño sin {amor} is the most retarded thing I have seen since the time the Star Wars Solo Movie explained Han Solo got his name by being alone in a sci-fi airport or something.
As latino, I cringed at every scene with mexican Atlantis. It just felt forced and unnatural how 20 very primitive persons isolated themselves deep into the ocean and somehow became a super advanced society. By they way, it's curious how Wakanda and Mex-Atlantis have a homogeneous demographic but Asgard somehow looks like an United Colors of Benetton commercial.
The new Black Panther seems to be the kind of movie that spawns a million questions. And why would Meso Americans use a language rooted in Spanish? That IS the language of the colonizers.

It was always like this, but phase 3 onwards especially feels like Technology became magic in every wayOne of them being, "How can Riri Williams build a vibranium detector with no vibranium to detect it with?"
Tbh, the only thing that can "makes sense" is if Riri Williams got an internship at Starks IndustryOne of them being, "How can Riri Williams build a vibranium detector with no vibranium to detect it with?"
You have to remember comic books and movies are written by extremely dumb people.education isn't even a sign of actual intelligence
oh, i knowYou have to remember comic books and movies are written by extremely dumb people.
Dumb people, by their nature, don't know what its like to be smart. So when they have to write "smart" characters, its always a dumb person's idea of intelligence. In Riri's case, going to a prestigious school is a sign of intelligence. This, despite the fact that its waaaay easier to get into M.I.T. as a black woman of average intelligence than as a white non-jewish man with genius-level intelligence.
But the ones they do have are hilariousRE China? Not many blacks there.
In the comics Tony Stark (or was it his cuck AI self because I think at that point he was already dead) just gives her the entire Stark Industries and then she runs the company with Tony's hippy mother and Mary-Jane (yes that one).Tbh, the only thing that can "makes sense" is if Riri Williams got an internship at Starks Industry
This trend has been known for a while. It's commonly known as the Marvel slump nowadays. Opening week is always huge bit the next week has no legs. It's shocking to me that it happened to BP2 though. I thought that it would have some legs during the second week because there would be repeated viewings for this one like there wsas for No Way Home. I think there was a chart that showed the first BP had a lot of white audiences that didn't go see BP2.I've noticed a trend in all MCU movies: I call it whaling as i think it looks like a whale.

There's no reason to watch it twice. It's a film that at best is "okay". I apparently gave it glowing praise with 6.5/10 because I haven't seen a non-shill critic rate it higher than that. This trend has been known for a while. But if we take @Salubrious at his word, this movie didn't go so well with black men either.
We tend to joke a lot about the lack of black fathers on this site, and I can't really speak for it given my melanin deficiency, but we do have to remember that it is a negative trauma for the black population. I have to imagine that for a lot of black men seeing the horrible situation that happened on their childhoods being used as a joke to elevate sassy black women has got to rub some acid in the wound. There's no reason to watch it twice. The heart of the first Black Panther movie was strong father-son relationships (T'Chalia and the deceased king; Killmonger getting revenge for his father killed by T'Chalia's father.) There's not a single father-child, much less father-son, relationship in this movie. All the strong black male characters are dead in storyline (and sadly real life), and M'baku is a comedy figure with no children, who Shuri almost literally told him to shut the fuck up at one point. Black women have been shoving black men out of the family for decades now, and this is that on a microlevel.
Part of the problem is that black women are so scared of marriages and relationships that they choose to have babies with the men that are likely not to be around. 50-55% of black men have no children. Another 30% are married. That leaves 15% of black men that are unmarried with kids. Even giving some overlap for married men with a "side kid", that still leaves 20% of black men making 70-80% of the children. The other 80% of black men are not wanted, a lot of them BECAUSE they are "too nice" or "don't fight all the time", et cetera. We tend to joke a lot about the lack of black fathers on this site, and I can't really speak for it given my melanin deficiency, but we do have to remember that it is a negative trauma for the black population. Uh, no it isn't?! It was obviously appropiated by why-tees, the language was Mexican and the oppressors stole it and named it Spanish. And why would Meso Americans use a language rooted in Spanish? That IS the language of the colonizers.
I'm glad i'm not the only one doing that joke.So they are literally wetbacks?
I'm kinda surprised Marvel comic hadn't yet cuck Reed Richard even more by making Franklin Richard Namor's son. Wouldn't be surprised if Marvel Studio have Namor skinned Sue and wear her as a meat suit to some big ceremony. Since the Mexicans seemed to love that part of their history.Namor does not seek women, women seek Namor.
What are you looking at? We don't talk about Sue Storm. Susan is a work in progress.
