Marvel Cinematic Universe

One of the earlier leaks I read outright states that Tobey is uncle Ben, and what was said in that leak mostly lines up with this one
Spider-Man is his own uncle? That's gay as hell. Why would anyone want that? Does he fuck himself too? Jesus.

Saw part of Shang-Chi. The martial arts is okay until they ruin every scene with stupid CG nonsense. I'm also upset because now I'm hot for Awkwafina and I hate her.

No, he is not meant to be his own uncle, just that MCU's uncle Ben happens to look like Tobey Mcguire, they did something similar in the CW flash, the guy that played Barry Allen in the 90s series plays Barry's dad in the CW series and it is later revealed his Earth-2 Counterpart is Jay Garrick, and in Earth-90 he is the Barry Allen from the 90's series but it doesn't mean Barry is his own father. Assuming the leak is correct then the MCU was just ripping off that idea.

I liked the martial arts stuff in Shang-Chi but Simu Liu has negative charisma or something, he looks bored almost the entire movie and makes it hard to sympathize with his character, ironically I cared more about Awkwafina's character she's at least trying to make me laugh throughout the movie

So he's Uncle Ben and Spider-Man in the same movie? He's not even old enough to be believable as the former. It's just so silly I can't believe even Marvel would try it.

I'm guessing Shang-Chi is supposed to be like 25 but the actor looks 40. It's really weird. He's also incredibly fay and seems to have no interest in women beyond his mother, sister, and tomboy best friend. That's a big thunk right there.

I mean they aged down Aunt May and Tobey Macquire can pull off someone who'd be that old with how he has aged like in pic related

I can't find anything about Mary Jane in the spoilers. I know Kiki denied it but I guess its true then?
I don't know who "Kiki" is.
Anyway, I have no idea how true this is, but I've heard it said more than once that "MJ" in the Holland films was never actually supposed to be Mary Jane Watson... as stupid as that sounds. (She's actually credited as "Michelle" in the Homecoming IMDB page here)
What I'm about to say may or may not actually be true, and it might actually be a spoiler, so I'm spoilering it: I randomly read somewhere that the end of No Way Home will end with *everybody* not only forgetting that Peter is Spiderman, but also forgetting about Peter entirely (but still remembering Spiderman somehow). Including both Ned and "MJ". The thing I read also purports that Ned and "MJ" end up together because they both forgot about Peter. I am not claiming any of this to be fact, It's all something that I read elsewhere and it may or may not be true. Also, Aunt May is supposedly killed in this film.

No, I obviously know who Kirsten Dunst is, I've just literally never heard he called "Kiki" before. I'm legitimately sorry, if she's even had a film career since Spiderman 3, I honestly haven't heard about it. >_<
Her best work is Fargo Year 2 lol. But yeah she's back in the public eye.

Fair enough, I haven't seen that. But my original point still stands, I've never heard anybody call Kirsten Dunst "Kiki" before... It doesn't really even make sense as a nickname, unless there's some random lore I don't know about... (and this is possible)

You might as well call Scarlett Johansson "Jojo." as a nickname. And for the record, I've recently grown quite fond of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. >_<

I‘ve heard the same regarding MJ.
I kinda like Zendaya as MJ, her chemistry with Tom on screen works; but she’s not Mary Jane Watson.
In my opinion, the ginger from IT Remake would be a better fit as MJ, in a tomboyish way

Dunst was the USA dub voice for the main character in Kiki's Delivery Service, like, a quarter century ago.
She was also vampire girl in Interview With A Vampire.
But yeah, that's not a common way to identify her, that's more of a trivia question.

The actor is early 32 right now so would have been 30 or 31 during the shooting but he does look old for his age

Reviews are mostly positive across the board for No Way Home thus far and even the ones who are more critical seem to have ultimately enjoyed it more than your average MCU flick. The main criticisms revolve around the fanservice aspect of the story, which to be honest yeah it is a pretty fanservice-heavy film from the looks of things. Not going to post any spoilers that I've read, but the film in general seems fun, but derivative at its worst and I think given the state of cinema over the past year due to the pandemic people will cut it a lot more slack in the narrative department just due to the sheer entertainment factor.

I know some other reviewers critique the whole complicated multiverse stuff which is given

But in other news, the Black Panther sequel is turning out to be a production shitshow with how people want T'Challa to be recast as the complaints against Shuri's actor and desire to recast her increase (to be honest she was the worst part of the first movie, Marvel really were retarded thinking she could lead a movie).
