I thought she was at her least interesting as the villain. Hell, I thought her acting as the nosy neighbor archetype was more believable than her villainess acting.
Fuck, this takes me back to how disappointed I was with WandaVision. I thought Marvel was going to try something different and then it just turned to the same old shit as usual.

Well since its lead actor is dead and they aren't recasting I'm going to say it's already fucked. No way they fire her, though. With so many blacks rebelling against their Dem masters over the jab, including athletes and high profile celebs, firing a black woman for not doing as white men say is going to be a look they'll never recover from. They can't call her a nazi like they did Gina Carano.

I have no idea, but it certainly feels astroturfed to me.

When I logged into facebook last night to check my messages, there were literally 5 ads for articles about this Wandavision spin off in my feed. I marked them all as shit I didn't care about.

I get on to check my messages this morning, and it happened again with 5 completely different articles.

Like holy shit I don't give a fuck about Wandavision or it's spinoff let alone want to see nothing but shitty entertainment journos repeating the same shit.

I think its a combination of Marvel scraping the bottom of the barrel and them knowing their fanbase will watch anything with the marvel logo on it.
They are also probably getting a bit desperate as Shang Chi wasn't the big hit it they expected, and I'm not talking box office numbers or anything, most people I know barely cared about the film, with soem only watching it because there is nothing else in theaters right now.

Yeah, my dad actually wants to see it, but because he's a literal boomer, he still hasn't been to a theater this entire time.

yeah, I want to watch it beacuse I'm a martial arts sped, but a coworker of mine who is a marvel fanboy didn't even know the film was out, and he is the kind of soyboy who is constantly pestering with shit like "did you watch the trailer for the new marvel movie yet?", "Have you seen the latest disney film?", "You haven't whaaaaaaaat? Are you a contrarian or something?"
 
I like Kathrine Hahn's performance so I'll probably watch the Agatha thing. Not sure what it's going to entail or whether it's a prequel or sequel to Wandavision though.
 
I don't mind the Agatha shit since in the comics she's Wanda's ally, and apparently she's to play a part of the Scarlet Witch shit going forward, so fleshing her out more seems fine to me. I have no complaints with this.

imo this should have been incentive to make Okoye, not Shuri, as the new Black Panther. But I guess they're pretty much done with making the thing now that it's irrelevant. But she'll be fine, until she starts cracking out Holocaust comparisons Disney will play D.

don't you remember how the George Floyd riots changed from being "the voice of the oppressed" to being "da white supremacists trying to destabilize the country" ?
 
Eternals getting weak reviews, HOWEVER;

It's not exactly boring - there's always something new to behold - but nor it is particularly exciting, and it lacks the breezy wit of Marvel's best movies.

Actually has me optimistic, since it seems like most of the people who don't like it are upset that it's not a standard quipfest and gets too up it's own ass. That kind of has me a bit more interested since I was hoping they would actually take a shot at something besides "Everything needs to be undercut with a zinger" action comedies.

Funny story, I was kinda giving up on social media so I didn't knew when this show was out. I genuinely didn't knew, let alone remember that this show was a thing, until 2 days before the final episode when I saw a /tv/ thread talking about the 2nd last episode.

I literally torrented every episode 2 days before the finale on my phone & binged it.

The most surprising part for me? Every episode except the 1st & even kinda the last episode was just around 20-25 mins long.
