I still don't get why we can't have a 40/50 something carol
Katee Sackoff is literally RIGHT THERE lol. Or emily blunt?
Kinda takes me out of the film her being so young.
Marvel wanted her to be the new face of the MCU that means a young actress they can milk for a decade before she burns out.

Daredevil being Peter's mentor and surrogate father figure would make more sense to me than Iron Man TBH.
Yeah Peter has a positively Catholic sense of guilt. Or at least he used to.
Peter actually comes into conflict with Matt a lot in the comics. In the issue where Peter and Matt find out each other's identities, Peter was going to straight up kill the Sin-Eater and then when he's arrested allow a mob to lynch him. Matt only convinces him to save Sin-Eater's life because he jumps into the mob to save him, starts getting beaten up, and calls out Peter's real name for help. Peter saves Matt's life and reluctantly saves Sin-Eater's life, then at the very end of the issue Peter states that he still believes that the law doesn't work and Sin-Eater should have been killed, and he and Matt agree to disagree. During the Born Again arc, Peter actually finds Matt and tries to help him, but Matt refuses and Peter thinks he's lost it. And then, even later, Peter tries to get involved in a mob war and Matt basically manipulates him the entire time, and Peter considers Matt a washed up creep.

So I don't think Matt should be Peter's mentor, I think they work better as vitriolic friends/acquaintances, with Peter being a hot headed youth who refuses to plan ahead and Matt being older and wiser but ultimately manipulative. The problem is, Peter really needs to be in his early 20s for this relationship to work, he's just too young in the MCU.

Taskmaster looks cool:

Looks like he's got, in addition to Hawkeye's bow and Cap's shield (and, uh, Swordsman's sword?) Black Panther's claws as well, which I guess gives an indication as to when this movie is set chronologically. Hope they don't just kill him off half-way through/at the end of the film (and as long as I'm dreaming, here's hoping he gets at least one scene where he subjects Black Widow to the same wrap-your-legs-around-the-opponent's neck-and-spin move that she seems to pull at some point in every film she appears in; the look of shock on her face would be priceless).

So apparently Richard Madden was queerbaiting and he will not be the gay Eternal. His character is in a triangle with Sersei and Black Knight *sigh* I fucking hate love triangles.

New 'Eternals' footage was shown:
- The footage starts with Keoghan’s Druig welcoming Sersi (Chan), Ikaris (Madden), Kingo (Nanjiani), Makkari (Ridloff), Sprite (McHugh) and Thena (Jolie) to some sort of ranch. “Make yourselves at home,” he tells them.
- Various members of the group are in different parts of the globe, showing the film’s diversity.
- There are scenes of a romance developing between Chan’s Sersi and Madden’s Ikaris

Allegedly the character (and actor) will be Brian Tyree-Henry's character............

I don't understand this decision but lmao least it's not that ugly fuggo irish kid from the deer killing film.

And now to say something that will get me some negative reactions.
They are desperate as shit to tap into another "niche" demographic after Black Panther and Captain Marvel's wild (as in it piggybacked off another movie and used misleading advertising when most didn't flat out give a shit about her, especially after watching it) success, they are trying to appeal to both the gay and black demographic by having the black man be the token gay character in this boring sounding movie, that sounds sorta like Jupiter Ascending but with worse art direction judging by the awful boring costumes.

Like looking at Kirby original costumes theres clearly a theme
But this looks awful amateur shit

I wonder if their contracts state that they also give up their likenesses after death so they can do digital necromancy like in Rogue One.
Valid-ish point, but Carrie Fisher was still alive when Rogue One released. She (probably) even recorded the lines that the uncanny valley CG version of herself spoke in that film.

Was speaking more about Tarkin on that one. Usually they get the permission of the estate, but I bet the mouse would rather get the cheese now.

The girl who played Leia in Rogue One was so charming in her interview about working on the film.

Get ready for RDJ but 60 years from now with that motion capture stuff
