So 70 percent of this so-called "surge" came from 1600 accounts, and considering that kind of activity, probably every one of these guys has a dozen accounts or so. Or let's just say 16. So that would be 100 trolls shitposting. And this is supposedly reflective of what?

I honestly think he's had some kind of psychotic break. He's seeing malfeasance where none exists. Wikipedia moves things around all the time to better organize data. Yes there's vandalism, but it's quickly reverted. Mark has fallen victim to the "no neutrality" fallacy as I call it. It's where someone views an issue as absolutely black and white, right and wrong, and any attempt to discuss the matter objectively is treated as siding with the opposition. Wikipedia doesn't push his view on Gamergate that it's a for-reals terrorist organization that's killed people? Clearly they've given into extortion. And on and on. It's the same reason right-wingers scream about bias in the media when they don't push Republican talking points as facts.

Bernstein is interesting. Whereas many lolcows have bizarre ideas meshed somehow together with an odd blend of autism and narcissism, I think Bernstein is legitimately mentally ill. Not the kind that a lot of these people self-diagnose to buff out their Personal Suffering Bingo card, but actual mental illness, where you go see a doctor and they hope that medicine will enable you to live a normal, functioning, life and in the meantime, the court appoints a guardian ad litem to protect you.
