We're getting a new Mario Party for Switch. It's using boards from the N64 games, it has 100 minigames that come from previous Mario Party games, and it also has Online Play. Basically it sounds like a better version of Mario Party: The Top 100.

Only problem is that Mario Party doesn't sound like the type of game that would make for good online play.

So far it looks promising. I wonder if they wanted to do more for the game but couldn't because of Covid-19 in Japan.

Horror Land or bust.
Same here brother! The Super Mario wiki does list Woody Woods as a board but I would like both.

The pirate board would be awesome, too.

Peach's Birthday Cake and Space Land were shown off in the treehouse stream, not a big fan of the former but there's much worse boards in MP1. From what little I tuned in for it looks faithful enough to the N64 mechanics. I just really hope they include all the items from MP3, that's the one thing that keeps me coming back to that entry over MP2. The rare ones were always super exciting to stumble upon in a game

I can't think of worse boards than Birthday Cake other than Battle Canyon, and Magma Mountain/Eternal Star are debatable. The board is nothing special than poor man's monopoly.

The only thing that comes to mind when thinking about the Mario Party on the Nintendo switch is how there is a fucking tier list for the characters and their special dice lol

I have fond memories of Mario Party 2, so seeing two boards and a few of my favorite minigames return put a smile on my face.
Although, I would have liked Western Land to return.
Wonder why Nintendo didn't have other boards as DLC? It'd make sense to me.
They could still be porting over boards for DLC.
I can't believe they kept the analog stick mechanic in the Switch port, holy shit my palm sang like it was opera. I miss that callous.
It’s time for more Joy-Con drift! I’m sure people have broken the 3DS Circle Pad due to Tug o’ War in The Top 100 too.
