Today Nintendo released a trio of new costumes for its build-your-own-Mario-game Super Mario Maker, and they're based on the original starters from the very first Pokemon game. That's right, you can finally have Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur exploring 2D side-scrolling levels. It even features the right sound effects! The costumes are free, but to unlock them you'll need to complete a new Pokemon-themed course that's just been added to the game.

I'm not interested. Nintendo have far too many other characters on Super Mario Maker as it is.

Nintendo has really been capitalizing on their autism monopoly with Smash and Mario Maker lately.
