What pancreas? Just don’t be a pussy & you’ll be fine bro.
You are rich enough to not fuck this up, make sure you have periodic blood work so you don't do something irreversibly stupid to your body.
Keep in mind, the kilos can come off naturally with diet and exercise, but you aren't getting another pancreas.
Gonna read up more on this med, I am only mildly familiar with it from diabetes patients.

There was a story posted in A+H a day or two back about increasing numbers of people overdosing on weight loss meds and being poisoned.

Probably about Ozempic, Westoids again rushed to approve that crap and the elites popularized it.
Anyway
Let's see if Marge is successful.
If she is, we'll petition the jannies to move the thread out of Deathfats.
Into ratkings or something.
Or Internet Famous?

I agree. And idk if it’s “cheating”… it’s not a free lunch that’s for certain. It has side effects that are difficult enough that a lot of patients drop out, to say nothing of the cost, which is very high.
This is just an adjunct to lifestyle modifications. It lets me be satisfied with 2 biscuits for dessert instead of 6, etc. that said, clinical trials where they had 1 group prescribed a diet+exercise regimen and the other diet+exercise+semaglutide… the drug group lost like 17% more of their body weight than the diet and exercise control group. So that would suggest there’s something behind obesity that’s more than a simple self-control problem.

I probably ought to read up more on it too. I have a tendency to shoot first and do my homework later, but I have been seen by a physician and I promise I would not leave my beloved Kiwis yet.

Of course there is. There are multiple diseases that cause obesity, there are genetic peculiarities and propensities, there are various types of metabolic changes, induced by all sorts of modern life "blessings" that we can't get away from, there are sinister amounts of pollutants and endocrine disruptors in the environment and a trend towards more and more indoor sedentary lives.
You can cheat your body to no longer send signals that you need to fill in, you can cheat your brain with amphetamines, chew coca leaves to cheat your stomach and more. But, nothing comes free.

Ain’t that the truth, brother. Before the baby I was using a stimulant type drug to reduce appetite.

It's ¿Por qué no los dos? you hopeless analfabeta.
I’m not sure why you think I am obligated to look up accent marks on mobile for someone who hates what I write, no matter my formatting. And also has a thing for animu chibis, 怎么可怜

Imagine telling a priest about Kiwi Farms.
Tbf it defuses the most potent threat you could levy towards me; that my employer would know I participate on a politically incorrect forum that I’ve critisicised in the past.

You are politically incorrect: your Feminism is trans-exclusionary. Your side redrew the lines and it placed you on the other side, out here with us.

@Stan many of the individuals with threads in this section have used that drug and not a single one of them has had noticeable, sustained weight loss from it. Chantal had the best results but she was also doing cocaine at the time.

It does not suggest that at all. At best it suggests is that self control may be simple, but not easy. Assuming the trials were even accurate which is a bit of a toss up these days with reproduction crisis, funding and regulatory capture.

If you go at it purely mathematically, you count calories, and you don't eat more than you allot yourself, you will lose weight. You even lose it at the predictable rate expected. Sure you can take drugs or other substances that make it easier, but they usually have other costs associated with it.

People just want it to be something magical outside themselves, and pharma is all too happy to sell you stuff, no matter what harm it may do.

Use an app like myfitnesspal, enter everything you eat. It has almost all products and foods in it already and is kept up to date by its users. It also has a rough estimate of how much energy various activities expend. From this I've learned that exercise is mostly negligible in terms of losing weight; it takes much more effort to burn off a cookie than it does to just not eat it. But learning the caloric values of everything is the real value. Count calories for 3 month and you rehabilitate your relationship to food forever. I've seen it happen to 4 other people who I recommended it to and the only person for whom it didn't work was the one who also had MS and her partner kill himself so there was a bit too much static on the transmission.

ps exercise is still good, especially for the positive effect on mood that helps to stay on your goals.

You probably won't take my advice considering the source, but it's the best thing you could do for yourself.

🎵🎶You are faaaat, put the fork down tubbyyyy! You don't need ozempic for your tummyyyy. Just put the fork down, close your mouth, jog and jog around the town! And seeeeee! You're no longer a fat-teeee!🎶🎵
it’s not a free lunch
Haha.
It lets me be satisfied with 2 biscuits for dessert
How about no biscuits? Fuck, how about no dessert at all? Put the fork down. It's not a miracle drug and the moment you get off it you're gonna bounce back up to 6 cookies after second-breakfast, because you have to have dessert.

Seriously, cut that shit out. It's hard and it sucks and this is why not a lot of people lose the weight. I sincerely hope you do, and also keep it off, but it's not gonna happen with that kind of mentality. Best of luck Marge. :feels:
