I was really delusional to think wackobirds on the left could unite with the others for this one issue. But of course gun control is ableism and a ploy to let cops kill mentally ill people. Of course.

...so what do these people fucking WANT? They don't care about infringing upon other people's rights until it might infringe on theirs. Ain't that typical? That's the thing about an authoritarian rule, it fucks you up the ass no matter who you are.

I guess the Tumblrists can't have it be a matter of public record that they have a clean bill of mental health and are just LARPing as basket cases.

Flag would indicate Arizona. Also, I dig his hat.

It's worse than that, the 1900's were the 20th Century, we're now in the 21st Century.

The actual 19th century was 1800 - 1899

And I have yet to hear one "common sense gun law" proposed...... I don't hear anything from these people, just "we've had enough pass some laws" Well, I agree, what do you want passed?

I'm still waiting.

Here's what they apparently want:
1.) Ban Assault Weapons (that's the free spot on the bingo card)
2.) Ban/tax bullets excessively (one lady in the video below says we don't have a right to bullets).
3.)Ban all guns, no one needs a gun (gay guy in the video hems and haws in a wishy-washy way).
4.)Cry and yammer incoherently (bullet ban lady with the signs of 4 different shootings).
5.) Universal background checks.
6.) Background checks that are super thorough somehow. Via like magic or something.
7.) Waiting periods in the amount of months (because you know, that'll change someone's mood if they're murderous).
8.) Be intersectional. I have no idea what the hell that means. Is this algebra class or something?

Anyways, here's the video. It's about 40 minutes long. The girl at the end is the cherry on top of this shit sundae.

It's funny how no one says "Enforce the laws already on the books" rather than "Come up with dumbass new laws that won't be enforced". Because these people don't know we already have plenty of laws set up to prevent known risks from arming up. Because none of these people have ever bought a firearm, most have probably never fired a gun, and most did no research ahead of time.

How about properly fund and staff law enforcement bodies if you want to prevent this? Including agent fitness/ competency reporting?

They know full well that as soon as they propose concrete laws they will expose both their lack of knowledge about guns, and how little support their ideas would actually get once they get put into exact terms. Yelling about "common sense gun laws" lets each member and everyone watching imagine their own laws that they think would be a good idea. Honestly, "common sense gun laws" is one of the greatest marketing feats I've seen in a long while.

It's sad that not a single person I've seen making a pro-gun control argument seems to have any knowledge of gun laws. I might be willing to pay more attention to their drivel if they could demonstrate an inkling of understanding on that front.

Because they don't know the laws and they think you can get a gun mailed to your door like it's the 50's or something. They also don't know shit about guns, do you really think they'll know anything about gun laws?

Also this right here. They just bleat out "Common sense" like the sheep they are so Napoleon hears their version of "Four legs good, two legs bad!" to drown out any semblance of actual laws that could be implemented. Like oh I don't know, brining back mental hospitals so crazies can be housed where they need to be in order to get help.

I never hear any actual proposals of change from them other than REEEE THIS IS BAD! I don't see much a difference between their fear cops will round up mentally ill and black people and kill them and gun nuts sure the government is going to steal all their guns in the middle of the night.

I dunno, maybe it was just what I happened to hear yesterday, but I didn't hear one word about banning handguns, hunting rifles, and etc. It won't happen anyway, the US isn't Japan where gun culture isn't a thing. I feel more people are starting to realize that.

Keep in mind, none of these kids have any legal training. Most probably didn't read the regulations any more thoroughly than necessary when they took Driver's Ed, couldn't tell you what their insurance policies cover, and have never served on a real jury. Most have probably never attended any legal proceeding and would fall asleep during the actual writing of legislation. I know because I was like that too when I was a teenager and had no experience in the real world. But once you've been out on your own, maybe been to college or in the military or worked your way into a trade, you mature and start to understand that your childish tantrums shouldn't be made into laws. :optimistic:

Either that or you never mature, live in your relatives' basement sperging about how much you love Nintendo/Marvel and hate Trump and how your dumbass vision will lead the world into the Superior Future.

It's "Common sense" to me that not everyone has what's best for me in mind. It's common sense too, in my mind, that in the rare case someone wants to visit violence on me I shouldn't have to stand there and let them stab/shoot/bludgeon me. Taking guns out of the equation doesn't take violence out.

Heh, I got to work in a shot at MovieBob. I'm a happy Shadow.
