How is that relevant to this situation though? ISIS didn't bomb Brussels in retaliation for a U.S airstrike, they did it because they're a death cult that wants to kill western civilians.

Agreed. Fun fact, ISIS wants to start a holy war, because they think that if they do not till the end of the year or so, they will not get into heaven.
So an ISIS attack is pretty much an attempt to start shit with the world, instead of retaliation, because they want rapture.

Not even getting into the politics of this bullshit.

My heart goes out to those who have died and those who have been injured and all of their families.

Just... fuck this shit. Jesus fucking Christ...

Suddenly I got Tom Lehrer's "Who's Next" stuck in my head.

In all seriousness though. I hope this gets the world to up the ante on those isis fags. Allah knows that they need their big heads shortened by a few decimeters.

No. Starting a war is what they want. They want to die in an apocalyptic war.

These people cannot be reasoned or negotiated with, and anyone sympathizing with them is part of the problem as they're lending credence to their victim narrative.

Noting that effects have causes doesn't equal sympathizing with monsters. A lot of terror has been blowback from literally decades of stupid policies. That doesn't mean the perpetrators don't need to be killed now. As noted, while the stated motivations for these attacks may be actual things the West did wrong, a ridiculous number of the perpetrators are middle and upper class from places like Saudi Arabia that have actually vastly profited from the very same Western actions.

Just ignoring the root causes of something guarantees more of it, though.

Fanatics indeed can't be reasoned with. They're well beyond that stage. You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place. You basically just have to kill them.

However, certain environments breed fanaticism like a malarial swamp breeds mosquitoes.

Nobody can reasonably deny that things Western countries have done have contributed to these environments.

(In the short-term, though, bullshit like this shows the European policies of "lol just let everyone in" are doomed.)

Let's give them what they want then. Dead people aren't threats
Yes, let's genocide the Middle East, except for Israel, which is a perfectly good American ally and never does anything wrong or causes problems for us.
That will solve the problem. I'm up for genocide. Genocide is a good thing.

Or we can just stop going on retarded military ventures and continue to pick away at ISIS leaders and targets with drones. As they never get their war and their leaders and installations get hit, popular support will eventually fade away.

Guys, this is the German flag:

...the Belgian flag is the same colorwise, but flipped 90 degrees + with the yellow bar in the middle:

ISIS and their ilk want the world to consider every one of their countrymen a possible threat, so they have more innocents to use as a meat shield and an easier time recruiting the downtrodden.

Please don't let extremists use this tragedy how they want.

I whole heartedly agree, but a lot of these stupid policies have been internal ones in the Middle-Eastern countries themselves, like in many Middle-Eastern countries the Sunni/Shia schism and in North African Arab countries tribal allegiances and infighting between them have been one of the causes for division, which allows extremist movements who play the religious angle to exploit those weaknesses in the nations' unity, which creates instability. Then you have the terrorist movements wage war against their governments in Middle East simply because they are religious fanatics who don't agree with democratic resolutions and are Hell-bent on imposing Sharia law in their country.

There needs to be ground troops to actually take and hold the cities from ISIS in the middle east. Currently the Kurds are doing the best work as ground troops against ISIS so the West should continue supporting them with air strikes and special forces raids.

However, inside Europe, there needs to be a severe crackdown on islamic extremism and the political left should stop pretending that we can just stick our heads into the sand and wish the problem away. Extremist ideologues and those who support them should be dealt with, via deportations, arrests or other means.

Última edición:
There is no need to up the ante with those ISIS fags. Literally all we need to do is unleash about 300 members of our Special Forces with air support & coordination with Iraqi and Kurdish forces.

Too bad the current administration is too inept to achieve anything aside from photo ops and embarrassing us on the world stage
This guy straight up advocates placing land mines on highways and some other fun things that range between highly controversial and outright war crimes.
He also says that his plan can destroy ISIS's narrative in 72 hours.

I think he's optimistic (wish I could give that rating to people in real life) about his timetable and that some elements of his plan would have to be toned down or removed, but this is another viable option.
